IT CAN GET REALLY COLD NOW

I'm up nice and early today, cos the Heat Pump installer is arriving at around 8 am.

Well... that's when he said he would be here.

Let's wait and see eh?

Once the heat pump is installed, it won't matter if it gets bloody cold ... cos we WILL be using it.

I'm going to close off the family room and heat up just that area.  I see no point in heating an entire house, and this isn't a small house, when we are predominantly in the family room.

When I'm sewing I will put on thermals!

Talking of sewing, I didn't get any done yesterday.  So, all going well I will get back to it today.

ABOVE:  Lynda, I tried Quordle yesterday.  Not sure I want to do it again!  It takes quite a bit more time that simple WORDLE!  I did enjoy it though.

I'm just worried I could waste a lot of time doing those sort of games!

The countdown is on!  Today, Tomorrow and Friday and then.... FACEBOOK only.  Please don't be shocked when you try to read Diet Coke Rocks after Friday and it says 'PRIVATE' blog.  It is/was necessary.

OK... I'm off to start me day.

8.10 am:  And wow.  The men arrived EARLY.  Lucky I was up and dressed in time.

ABOVE:  Getting ready to take it down.

ABOVE:  Grrrrr.... I have YOU (Lynda) to blame for this.  But thanks, I am LOVING it.  And today it didn't take that long at all.
Oh and I got WORDEL in TWO today!  A very lucky guess with my second word I must admit.

ABOVE:  And down comes the old one.

ABOVE: The new one all ready to go up.

ABOVE:  The outside component being installed.

ABOVE:  And boom!  Just under three hours later and we have a functioning heat pump again.
The guy turned it up to 30 Degrees C, and OMG its' HOT already in here.
Amazing.  And so nice.  Not that I'm gunna run it at 30 degrees, he just did that to test it out.

AND IT ALL WORKS.  No problems.  No hick ups.  NOTHING.

Thank God.   One job that isn't a stuff up.

Moving to Facebook with blog type posts... and what do I get in return?
The chance to actually 'talk' to my readers!  I'm loving it so much.

Though, I can see the potential to spend even MORE time on my computer yakking to people now.  Yikes.

WARNING though.  If you want to yak (like in a video) I might not respond.  Might not have ME FACE ON right?  πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

1.35 pm:  And I'm finally getting around to my lunch.  I've been sewing.  Slowly making inroads with my UFO's.
It's just the most lovely early winter day here.  Sun is shining.  Mild temperatures.  Kinda perfect.

7 pm:  dinner tonight was roast lamb slowly reheated in the oven.  Veges and home made potato rissoles.  So bloody yum!

We shall be quietly blobbing out in front of the telly till bedtime, so catch ya tomorrow.

Agreed on the word games. I am glad there is a limit of one on WORDLE.

Another busy week at your home too Chris, fabulous you got the heat pump done and dusted.
Another thing to tick off the list.

Still nice weather where we are so full on days get the final touches on our renovations, but as you know having a home and section it never really ends but gets more maintenance free,

Sorry to know only a couple more days on here for me as I’m not a Facebook girl,πŸ•ΊπŸΏbut it’s what’s right for your families to go private,
Appreciate you letting us in to Team Harvey’s lives all these years so in case I can’t get on before the weekend to comment but will still peek in each day or night till then
Lovely to have shared with you and all who commented over the time

Oh so glad I popped in before you go private. Thank you for sharing your lives with us for all these years. I don't comment often, and I don't read every day or even every week. But I do pop back. I use Facebook, and it has replaced the blogs I used to read - all except for this one. Hope I can catch up with you in Facebook land.

Enjoyed reading your blog and following your creative crafts, will miss reading as I am not on facebook.
You have to do what is right for you and your family so understand why you are making it "private".
Can keep in touch via email, although not sure if you are updating via email.
All the very best from Australia Chris, will be in touch when the next Grandchild arrives to get one of your amazing quilts, they are treasured in our family.
    Kindest, Heather

    1. i grated 4 potatoes into a bowl. Dabbed a lot of the moisure out of them with a rag. Added 1 very finely chopped onion, 1 cup of grated tasty cheese, 2 eggs, 1 Tbsp of chopped parsley, 1 cup of flour and some salt. Mix it all together. Put big spoonfuls into a heated frying pan with oil. Flip over after about 8 minutes. They come out OMG so yum! Nice with tomato sauce or gravy.

    2. Mum used to call that mock fish( tasted nothing like fish) but more recently I have heard it called Rossi. Haven’t had them for a while, must change that

    3. Yeah Stew makes them and calls them Mock Whitebait fritters, but of course they don't taste fishy at all. It's just the potato pieces that make them look like whitebait. Mine were chunkier than Stew's and he said they were much better. He makes a batter and adds the potato to it. I didn't.

Heat pumps are perfect but of course to be efficient and cost effective must run at all times and no doors or windows open switching on and off is not helpful….

  13. I have enjoyed reading your blog, not always commenting. Will miss all of your comings and goings, but as you and everyone else has said, you do what you have to do. Commenting now, as you are almost a day ahead of us, and didn't want to miss this writing this comment. Will certainly look in on you on FB, now you have "friended" me. Please post pics of the sewing project you work on, love looking at those. Hope this decision to make blog private works for you. Keep warm this Winter......we are just gearing up for a nice warm or even hot Summer. Cheers.
