THE WORST TIMING

WORST TIMING EVER!

Today is my first 'private housekeeping job'.

And there is NO WAY I am going to cancel it.
Kelly is going to come with me and do everything I can't do!
I am so very grateful to her for saving my job!

I can stand at the kitchen bench and wash all the china that needs cleaning while Kelly does all the walking around, vacuming and washing the floors.

I haven't got out of bed yet... so will soon, to see how my back/butt feels.

I hunted out some painkillers when I got home last night:

ABOVE:  I have only taken some Tramadol, as I'm not too sure if the other two will react with the other medications I'm on.
Last thing I want is to take something and end up having a bad reaction!

Looking at the date on them ... I reckon I can take the Tramadol and Norflex together?

Thankfully I have a Doctor's appointment at 2 pm, I hope he/she can get to the root of the problem and offer a solution.  This pain is debilitating.

So, probably time for me to put me feet on the floor and see how I feel eh?

ONWARD...

Well... it's even worse today. I cant bear weight on my right leg at all. I just CRAWLED on hands and knees to the bathroom! Far out... this is awful.

Yeah nah.  It's so bad Stew is taking me to the hospital.  I am in so much pain, I can't do anything at all.
I have had to cancel my job today... I can't walk AT ALL.  I will be CRAWLING to the car.

So we got to the hospital and they were FANTASTIC!  I was seen very quickly, and after much testing, xrays and bloods, it was deemed 'only' a muscle strain of some sort.

So I was given heaps of painkillers while there, and after about 4 hours they kicked in and I could walk again.
I have to be careful though, cos sudden or twisting movement hurts like hell still.

BUT, at least I won't need to crawl to the bathroom again!

The doctor said it could take weeks to clear up, which sucks.  But I will come right eventually I'm sure, and the pain killers will enable me to move around, thank god.

I'm now home and feel groggy as heck, so will be having a nap after lunch.  Stew is out getting my prescription and food, then he will head off to work.

It was nice having him and Kelly to keep me company at the hospital this morning.  Thanks Kelly for coming up and helping with transfers from bed/chair/wheelchair etc. *smiles*

Just had an amazing 3 hour 'nap'... must have been utterly exhausted!  Pain does that to ya eh?
But best thing is I can move again.

Shame I can't get back into my walks just yet, I'm trying to be sensible and let the hurt bits heal first.

Well it's 7.35 pm and I'm pretty much done for the day!  I tried eating dinner and just couldn't, I feel so nauseous! It's the pain medication of course, I'm not used to them at all.
I will be heading off to bed very soon, hoping to get a good night's sleep.

Sounds really painful and could be related to your kayaking activity at the weekend. I know that when I do a different activity I frequently suffer with my back a few days later.I hope it is not serious and soon improves. Em London

You can get a turning mat that you sit on while in your car so when you need to get out you won't jar your back.
