AND IT STARTS

 SMILES.

They have started.  And I really love seeing them.

ABOVE:  The first people I have seen stop and admire the tree and picket fence.  They thought it was gorgeous.

I don't think there will be another addition for about a week now.  I want to spend as much time as possible with Mike, Joyce and Keera while they are here.

ABOVE:  Summer.

The only thing missing is ... watermelon!

Must get some.

Here's a few more photos from yesterday:

ABOVE:  Lacy wanted a bigger handbag, so I gave her one I no longer use.  I do believe she loves it.

ABOVE:  She in turn handed hers on to Keera... who was just as thrilled to have it.

And her pocket money quickly got put in it.

ABOVE:  I'm so relieved we bit the bullet and invested in some outdoor furniture for this area.

It is just so neat to be able to sit and all be together, chatting and spending quality time together as a family.

ABOVE: Liam took a real shine to his Uncle Mike.

ABOVE: Very sweet photo of the two of them.  Mike said later on "Man that boy can talk!".  πŸ˜†πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

ABOVE:  THIS... this is what makes me smile the most.

My two eldest (Amanda and Lacy), and my two youngest (Steve and Mike).

That's NOT including Brylee and Griffin in that equation.  They are our BONUS kids.

We all had such a good time yesterday.  I can't thank everyone enough for coming over and spending time with us.

So, the kids have all gone Ten Pin Bowling somewhere.  We are just hanging around at home until they all come back for lunch.

ABOVE: Oh yeah,  I did that too.  Once it's dry I will show ya.

I have enough paint left in the little pots to make another, smaller one this afternoon too.  Yaaa.

Stew went out to the garden to pick some fresh salad veges for dinner.
He came in declaring that we have a 'Sexually Deviant Bird' in the neighbourhood.

WHAT?
Like what the hell do you mean?
And his reply was...

" Well, it's eaten out a whole tomato".

O . M. G.

MEANWHILE... we have thunder and lightening all afternoon!  Still waiting for the torrential downpour.
No swimming today.  It's a bit risky with the thunderstorm all around us.

ABOVE:  Just did a 'Swipe' ... it was rather fun.
I also have two 'Dutch Pours' drying now.
So, three paintings today.

And now... we are playing cards.  Stew is taking Keera home.  Lacy has gone home so she can have a shave... don't ask where.

The little boys are playing.

Dinner is gunna get cooked at some point!

Sausages. Smashed potatoes.  Lettuce salad.

9.40 pm and dinner is over (it was lovely), most visitors have gone home.  Mike and Joyce are kipping in the lounge tonight, mattress on the floor.
The last couple of nights they have slept at Steve and Bex's.
Tomorrow afternoon they go home. πŸ˜“πŸ˜₯
BUT... they will be back next weekend as it's going to be Stew's 60th Birthday then.

But for now... it's time to sign off for the day.
It has been another neat family day.

  4. Hello!
Happy to see the tree getting some admiration. Yesterdays pic of Lacy and Amanda is soo darn cute! I can't believe the transformation of Lacy's hair from bed head to daytime! haha. Mike's hair looks great - now for a clever Barber to shape that beard up. Or the braids are nice too! hee hee. And Steve, well... his nipple looks like teeth. Lacy - you should see if you can find Tattoo Nation on the internet. I watched it the other night and it was really interesting. It is about the history and rise of tattooing in the US. It was quite fascinating, even to my non-tattoed self. Obviously, your leg just reminded me of the show. Have a great day! It's warmish here again today. With a bit of fresh snow. And the trees are so "flocked" they look fake!

Love seeing your busy bunch...you are real, and honest and your love of family just shines through in every smile! I dont know why... but I am always shocked when I hear you all speak with an accent. Yeah we had one of those birds. Cleaned out quite a few ripening tomatoes. Best to cover them. Kj

I forgot to shut the hot house door and half a tomato got eaten. Before I got the hothouse I used to put satay sticks around the edges of the garden beds and put black cotton between them The birds can’t see black cotton and can’t land on the edge of the garden bed to walk to the tomatoes to eat them
Great that you have family time

  14. Great family fun, and you got to paint too, what's not to love about a day like that.
Squirrels and chipmunks eat our tomatoes, last Summer we put wire netting around the plants, it worked, either that or we did not have as many critters around.
