A WIN!

After being so very disappointed by the 2nd attempt by Fox Hair Salon to colour my hair, I wrote them a 2nd email.

Again, stating how upset I was with the result, and how I wanted compensation.

I wasn't sure if I would even hear from them, let alone get said 'compensation'.

Well, last night I received an email response from them, stating how sorry they were that I was not happy with my hair, and they were going to refund me the FULL amount I had spent!!!

I think the fact that I had taken before and after photos of my hair and could prove it was an utter botch up helped.

It really made my day to be honest, knowing that I had not wasted a lot of money for such a huge disappointment.

Now I just have to wait 6 months till I can even think about getting my hair coloured again.  Somewhere else obviously.

ABOVE: How cute is our Marley?  She stole one of Beau's toys last night.

It so much fun watching those three dogs interact.  Coco doesn't give a shit about Beau being here, she ignores him.

Marley is much more cagey, and scoots around him or avoids him as much as possible.

Beau wants to play with them, but just gets growled at by Coco, or snobbed by Marley.   It is very funny watching them.

Cheap entertainment.

Steve and Bex are both working today, so Dante and Archer are coming over here for the morning.  Mike and Joyce can look after them!

Us oldies can lie in bed a bit longer today.  😊

We don't have any plans today, we are just going to enjoy having the kids here for Easter.

11.35 am: What a lovely morning!  We had Beau jump on our bed first thing this morning, mad as a hatter.
Then everyone was up, having breakfast, playing with dogs, small boys arrived... easter eggs being eaten (by said small boys), and now?
I've got home made sausage rolls in the oven for our lunch.
Stew is outside doing the gardens and lawns, a job that happily doesn't take too long in this property.

I think Mike 'n' Joyce will be taking the boys to the park soon, or after lunch.  Either way, getting them out in the fresh air is a good idea.  It's a glorious day out there.

ABOVE:  A nice day for Steve to be working out of his office today.  Managing the removal of building site rubbish from way up high.

ABOVE:  Amanda and Lacy visited this afternoon.  Lovely to see them ... and Maitland, Amanda's boyfriend.

ABOVE:  Mike doing some repair work on Lacy's car.  It should be back on the road very soon.

ABOVE:  One of the biggest reasons I wanted the front gates.  So our dogs could be outside with us, and we didn't have to worry about them leaving the property.  WIN!  I'm so happy we have them now.

ABOVE:  Done, let there be light! 😂😊😅 Now she just has to do some panel and bumper repairs.

Got family coming for dinner this evening, I'm just doing sausages and veges.

7.45 pm:  And dinner is over, Steve, Bex and the boys have gone home.  We are quietly watching tv.  I think Mike and Joyce are going over to Steve's later to play Magic.
I think Stew and I will be heading off to bed early.
We are both rather tired.  The end of Daylight saving is mucking up our body clocks.

Catch ya tomorrow.

  2. I am so happy to see you receive a full refund. The color was nothing like blond. And really, it's kind of like the driveway situation. It is going to be harder and more expensive to fix than the original cost for the botched work. So - they did the right thing. You will be able to color it again in the future. And until then, there is always the blue wig option. :)

  3. Haha the hair salon probably thought we will shut this lady up and give her a refund. At least it’s kind of a win for you

  4. I am glad you are getting your money back. Smart to take those pix to use as evidence. All the best for you and yours for Easter.

Glad you had a win Chris with hairdresser. I am a firm believer in being humble and diplomatic, no need to go off your trolley (until things get unreasonable). I know they’ve ruined your hair, but they have manned up and you can at least be mostly happy now. Marie, Melbourne

Wow they've got a hide calling themselves a blonde bar when they can't even do blonde lol

Exactly what I thought - Blonde bar?? - what - more like we will give you what we think you need bar and then you will need a stiff drink at the bar bar afterwards. But glad they resolved to compensate you for really not listening and whatever they were trying to achieve?? but also not blonde. Enjoy your Easter with family.Maria(Australia)

  8. I know that the refund doesn't fix your hair but good that they at least did agree to the refund. Not knowing much about colouring blonde, is a few blonde foils or highlights an option as an interim measure? Enjoy your full house over Easter ... sounds like a fun weekend. 🙂

    1. I dare not put my hair through anything else for quite some time or I risk it literally snapping or falling out! I must wait. Shame it was mucked up in the first place, and by a salon specialising in BLONDE!!!

  9. I got my hair colored today. I was a bit apprehensive. I did the opposite of you and went DARKER. With a few lighter streaks. It's hard to get used too, but I think I will like it.
Dog Fence: I am dog-sitting a friends dog for 10 days. Yesterday he figured out he can walk right up a snow bank and step over the 4 foot fence. My own dog has not figured that out all winter. So, I am not happy with this turn of events. To make matters worse - I let him outside to go potty at 10:30 pm. He popped over the fence AND THEN refused to come to me. He would zoom past me and do a u-turn and take off into the woods. Grrrr. I am still ticked off. He is spending the night in the studio after that! I hold a grudge.
