FENCES

First up for the day:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO
OUR DAUGHTER
AMANDA.

We hope you have a lovely day with family and friends. ♥

The jobs today?  The guys are demolishing the old fence out the front of the house.
Bex and I will be painting the new fence palings.
And that's probably 'it' for the day.

I'll be back later with some progress photos.

ONWARD...

ABOVE:  And it's started!

ABOVE:  THIS is what I've been looking forward to THE MOST I reckon.

That horrible, wonky, trellis fence coming down.

3.42 pm:  The guys got back from a dump run, and they started on the fence.  Taking down the old posts:

ABOVE:  It's so awesome that Steve has all the tools necessary!  And the skills.  Can't forget the skills.  *smiles*

ABOVE: While the guys worked on installing posts and rails, Bex and I painted pailings.  For about 2.5 hours.  I sat in the shade of the garage eaves and managed to keep up with Bex.  We got heaps done!

ABOVE: It's coming together.  Tomorrow we will be finishing the painting and carry on with putting it all together.

I was lucky and got to come in earlier than the others, had a shower...

ABOVE:  Cos I was FILTHY!  I can't seem to do anything involving paint without getting covered in it.  lol

5 pm:  And I'm wrapping up the day early.  We are all exhausted.  Takeaways for dinner tonight, no one has the energy to cook.
I will give you a sneak peek at the new front fence tomorrow.

It's not finished yet.  We are about half way.

  5. Those guys are machines! Questions: Have you managed to use the same uprights? Will there be a gate? Can I borrow your son? hehe... just joking on the last one.

    1. We kept three of the original posts and painted them to match the new fencing. Yes there will be a gate that you can use to come down the side of the house, but not into the pool area. That is going to be fenced separately with pool fencing.

Lol it's good to see you really love painting. You're a hard working lot and deserve a lazy night and early to bed. Painting the poles was a great, lifesaving idea. Loving the blog posts. Thanks Chris. Kj
