CHRISTMAS EVE DAY

Before I yabber on about what's planned for today, I shall bombard you with photos from last night!

Amanda, Andrew and their children arrived for a visit...

 ABOVE: Emily, Keera and Liam.

ABOVE: The 'big boys', Griffin, Huston and Joel.
Joel wasn't feeling very well, but still managed a nice smile.

ABOVE: Amanda, Andrew and their two littlies, and Keera.
Keera was thrilled to see them, and to play with Emily and Liam.

ABOVE:  Liam having a go at brushing his hair.  Cute little bugger.  And full of mischief!  ON THE GO kid!

ABOVE:  Stew with the three littlies.

 ABOVE:  That's called 'photo bombing'!

ABOVE:  playing 'boo' and messing up me friggin glass doors!  *sigh*   Gunna have to wash them all again!  I don't really mind, they were having fun after all.

ABOVE:  all of Amanda and Lacy's children.  Keera was upset, tired and ready for bed.  Which is where she went right after this.

And Amanda and Andrew left shortly after as well, as they had to get their lot home to bed too.

In all, it was a nice visit.

Today?   A quick grocery shop for those last minute things like fresh cream, salads etc.
I think we have most things sorted.

We are expecting 11 extras for Christmas Day lunch, so not too many.

And we are not making a 'big deal' of the lunch either.  Just ham/chickens/salads and some desserts.   We don't want to finish the day knackered, with a huge pile of dishes.

I'm using plastic, throw away plates!

ONWARD...

Best idea ever going nice and early to the supermarket!  The place was quiet.

We stopped in at Steve and Bex's to pick up the kiddie table for tomorrow, and I grabbed a photo of Steve's leg:

ABOVE: Now he's in a moonboot, he can take it off for breaks during the day.   See how wasted his right leg is!  No calf muscle is all flabby.  Even his knee has shrunk.
Oh well... give him another 6-8 weeks and he should be back to normal hopefully.

We are now going to take a break and relax for a while before lunch.  After lunch Stew and I are popping out again to suss out his Christmas present (from me).

3.17 pm:  Success!  We found exactly what Stew wanted, and we got the 'Off the Floor, DEMO model', and the shop gave us $150 OFF the price.  So we are very happy.  His present won't fit under our tree, so it has to stay in the garage.

Lacy is due here very shortly, I bet Keera will be extremely happy to see her Mum.  I just hope her behaviour does not go out the door... as so often happens when a kiddie has a parent return after an absence.

And yep... Lacy arrived, Keera kicked off... so typical!
But, all is quiet now as Miss Muppet is finally in bed, and we are watching Ghost on the telly before heading off to bed.

End of Day: a nice day... all ready for tomorrow now.  Yaaa.
nite nite

  6. What beautiful children. I look at each face and wonder what life will bring their way. That little Keera is so beautiful and you can see she loves being with the other kids.

Steve has my compassion . That is the same leg I broke and it still likes to give me trouble , here it is 11 years later. It will swell when it gets unhappy although they say a break heals stronger than the original bone.

I can never get over that Santa arrives at your house a whole day before he pops all the way over to the USA. Now I know he get to take a break in between and those poor reindeer too.

I love you Chris- hope you have a wonderful holiday.
    hugs, linda
