COVID ISO DAY 3

ABOVE:  Well, I don't think I'm gunna be winning any prizes for 'healthiest looking female' any time soon!

I still look and feel bloody horrible.

I think I almost got on top of the headache last night, for a little while at least.

The eyes?  Not at all.  They are so sore.

Stew is still hanging in there, feeling 'normal'.

Lucky bugger.   Long may it last.

Today's plans?

Well... I do believe it will be exactly the same as yesterday!

Stay home.  Drink as much fluid as possible.  Take plenty of Panadol.  Rest.

I might seek out another movie to watch on Netflix later on.

Do me WORDEL.  Might do a few archival ones too if I am feeling up to it.

Anything to pass the time without taxing myself physically.  Cos that just ain't happening!

I have NO ENERGY at all.  None. Zip. Nada. Zilch. Zero. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜†

I've got some bloke coming tonight at 6.30 pm to pick up the Baby Change Table... SOMEONE remind me please!

I'm bound to forget.

How rude can you be 'P'?  To send me a blog comment (not published), and then a Facebook Message at 3 am?

Knowing I'm sick and probably don't need to be reading your shit in the middle of the night!
You are a fucking crazy woman, who had a Covid Party after your flatmate tested positive!  Pot calling the kettle black there ya stupid bitch.

I have blocked you.  Now crawl back into your hole and leave me AND my family alone.
You can be reported to the police for cyber harassment/bullying by the way, and we will do that if you don't stop.

10.32 am:  Still not heard from the asphalt Company ... bet they wait the full week to reply.
IN the meantime, we have seen a couple of Concrete Companies, and have signed up to have our driveway ripped up and laid with coloured concrete.
The tentative date for commencement of that is at the end of March!!!
In the meantime, once I'm up to it, I'm going to manually dig out all the asphalt from between our house bricks, and try and clean off all the tar from the bricks, garage door and concrete edging.
I am beyond LIVID that the Asphalt Company didn't even do that.

6.37 pm:  Well it's been very quiet here as you can imagine.
I did go outside this afternoon (fully masked up) to water the pots and gardens.

The bloke came and picked up the change table, he had to dismantle it to get it in his car.

So pleased the protest down in Wellington has been ended.  Not peacefully, but done for now by the look of it.  I hope they go home now.

Stew is cooking dinner, I have no idea what we are having?  Smells nice whatever it is.

I just asked him what it is, and he said 'Stew's Surprise'.   So, it's a wait and see scenario obviously.  πŸ˜…πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜‚

Dinner was sausages and mock whitebait fritters.  Very nice.  He made the fritters for me cos he knows I love them.  Awwwww.  Thanks Darling.

I'm feeling bloody awful this evening!  Fingers crossed I am almost on the downward side and feel better tomorrow.

  1. If you have somewhere outside to set the changing table, where it cannot be seen from the street, and no rain, just set it out now and message him where it is. No contact. No worries.

I have all my stuff picked up from my porch, no contact.

  3. Hope you feel better soon. Sorry to say: You do not look good at all, hope everything you are doing will soon make you feel better.

  4. Set your alarm on your phone so you don’t forget the pick up time.
Can’t say much else other than look after yourself. Sleep is essential and at least it doesn’t seem to last much more than a week ❤️

Try and relax so you can recover from Covid. No point in worrying about the asphalt company at the moment especially if you can afford to have the coloured concrete laid. I can understand how you feel about the mess the company left but again no point in worrying about it until you are fit enough to cope. Just concentrate on getting better. Audrey

  6. Trying again after several error messages.

Suggestion - set your phone so it does not disturb. I have mine from 10pm to 8am. If one of the kids has an emergency, if they call twice in a row, it breaks thru.

  7. Your eyes look so sore, you poor thing. Feel better soon. As for P whoever he/she is sounds like a report of cyber bullying might be in order.

  8. sorry to hear you have the dreaded lurgy. I had it over new year and fortunately I seemed to have a mild version, but just body aches, headache and a fever for two days, then just like a mild cold for 5 days. I was super tired though, just like you. Really hope you feel better soon. Ibuprofen works wonders (AND DRINK WATER!!!).

So sorry you're crook Chris. And after being so diligent with your vaxes. Do you have cyber bully laws over there? I know here they are ramping it up and a good thing too. Please try to rest and feel better soon. xx Trish in Oz.

  12. oh and apparently zinc supplements help to reduce symptoms etc. If you don't have any, maybe get Brylee etc to bring you some. It worked for me.

  14. Get well soon Chris! It's a shame that the odd saddo gets off on abusing you, but on the other hand it's a bit flattering that they are so interested in (or obsessed by) you. You're a celebrity! Hope you have a good night's sleep.

  16. I really hope you start to feel better soon. Grim. It's so unpredictable the way it affects different people. My daughter had it in the summer - had only had one vaccine then and had it very mildly. My friends daughter had it in February - fully vaccinated but not boosted and was so ill she nearly had to go into hospital. No way of knowing.
