ANOTHER BIRTHDAY IN THE FAMILY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE

WE LOVE YOU

We hope you have a lovely day and get to do something you thoroughly enjoy.  We can't wait for you and Joyce to come up over summer, if we don't get to visit you first.

So we've been thinking that having the 4 cream coloured recliners in the lounge will make the room too cramped.

So today we are going to fluff around with various options.

Maybe have two of the recliners in the sun room?

A brown sectional in the lounge with two recliners?

I'm 100% positive Stew does not want to do this right now, but I NEED to do it!

It's bugging me.

And if it bugs me, it (I mean I), will bug Stew too. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜†

So we shall do that today.

The other thing on today's agenda is to see if there are anchor points in the back of the RAV?

It would be neat if there was, so we can clip the dogs to them, thus stopping COCO from jumping into the front of the car.

She LOVES being up by the windscreen, better still on your lap, but (in my opinion), it's not safe.

Not for the driver, and not for Coco.

So... not much on really.  Another quiet day.  Just what we need too.

12.37 pm:  We are going to have too much furniture come February/March.
It's so frustrating.
I don't want to get 'rid' of any more of our stuff.
But we keep buying stuff.

Grrrr.  I do my own head in ... ALL.  THE.  TIME.

ABOVE: I'm working on the next Cat Runner.
Might do some cutting out this afternoon.

But for now... we are having lunch.  Stew is having Whitebait Fritters again and I'm have toasted sandwiches.

Right.  It's now 2.15 pm.  I wrote a shit load of stuff an hour ago, and lost it all.
Grrrr.

So the guts of the matter is... We have too much furniture.
We will have even more in February/March.
And I don't want to get 'rid' of any more stuff.

We have given away so many items of furniture over the years, enough to fill two homes probably, if not three!

So.  I'm not doing it again.
We have to fiddle around, fluff around and make shit fit.

DO NOT MOCK ME.
The longer the plant trolley was by the front door, the more I disliked it there.  It jutted out way more than the credenza, and it seemed to darken the area.

So.  Of course I moved the bloody thing.

Back to the dining room.

ABOVE:  That's better.

ABOVE:  So is that.  Now they can damn well stay there.

ABOVE:  The dining table is fixed and back in place.  Our dining room is back, and that was the last area to sort out.

YOU KNOW I will still move shit eh?
I simply cannot help myself.
I put it down to being blessed with a little OCD.
Works for me. (maybe not Stew)  πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜…

9.30 pm:  Lovely evening, just pottering around the house.  Got all the washing away.  Easy dinner.  Now... watching TV to wind down.  Catch ya tomorrow.

  1. if you dont have anyone in the back seat that needs the rear seat belts my dogs do very well on these, they clip to the harness or collar. Our dogs would try and get in your lap whilst driving and the crate for super long journeys stresses them. These are ones on amazon, but you can see them in the pet store and then just click in like the seat belt buckle.
    Nice and safe

  2. We put dogs in sturdy harnesses and buckle in car always. As you said, much safer. I also have a backseat cover that hooks over 4 headrests (front and back) and makes sort of a hammock which they love. It keeps seats clean. I think it makes them feel more secure.

  3. Your Rav will have anchor points, all new cars do (needed for baby seats). Don't hate me but I think those two cabinets in the lounge are too much. One is OK but two makes it overcrowded. Good luck rearranging the chairs :)

Poor Stew lol. I'm exactly the same, wanna do it now but being alone I often end up with the whole house being upside down lol. BUT I need to start seriously downsizing as I'm thinking I might have to retire 22 to keep what's left of my sanity lol. Kj

  5. It is illegal to have a dog in the front seat over here. Everything is bloody illegal over here. Have fun rearranging things. Again. :)

  10. To mock or not to mock this is the million dollar question.

  11. When I put my back seats down I have the metal part the seats clip into and I tie my dogs leashes on to those so they can't jump up front (or out if I open the door). I don't take them in the car often though, too much hair all over.
