GROCERIES

Well, if you thought yesterday was boring... just wait for today to pan out!

I really have nothing planned, except getting a few fresh groceries.  Mostly salad stuff and loo paper!

There isn't much else needing doing.

I could carry on with stripping wallpaper, or sewing or doing me jig saw later on, who knows.

ABOVE:  Pretty much sums it up eh?  πŸ˜†πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

My Mum used the pool table in the family room for all her washing.  I can't remember the table being used to play pool, it was always covered in washing and tools, chain saw blades and the like!

Sometimes a baby in a car seat was plonked on it too. Memories. πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’š

I'm starting to have happy memories pop into my head now.  Such a relief, cos up until now all I thought of was those last few minutes.

Right, it's time to read the news, check out what's happening in the world.

Catch ya later.

12.40 pm:

SPARKLING:  OMG you made me laugh.  'Out of date toilet paper'... yeah.  πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

I've been pottering around in the house all morning, haven't done too much.
Feeling decidedly jaded today.

ABOVE: this puzzle!  OMG it is the hardest one I've ever done.  It's going to take FOREVER.
Stew's sister gave me a 2nd hand puzzle when she arrived the other night too.  It looks interesting.  Goodness knows when I will get to it though.

I'm going to head out shortly for those groceries.

ABOVE:  Well the supermarket was deathly quiet.  The checkout girl who served me said she was bored out of her mind!

ABOVE:  Once home, I unpacked all the groceries then headed into my sewing room to work on the puzzle from hell.
I have now sorted more pieces out according to colour and pattern.  It might make it easier?
At least my Table Runner markings make it easy to group them.

Right, it's been a very quiet day ... which is just fine by me!  Quiet means no drama or stress.
And that is what I need more than anything else right now.

  1. My laundry goes on one end of the couch - which really messes with the dogs brain - because it is HIS spot!

  2. News.... I am watching bits and pieces of the Chauvin Trial. So technical.... This is the trial of the Police Officer who is charged with killing a man by kneeling on his neck for more than 9 minutes.

  6. Fresh groceries - hate out of date loo paper!
Glad that your memories are becoming happier ones. Bit by bit the bad bits will fade.

  7. Hahah when kids were little, in the good weather, it was the trampoline! Now just the two of us I fold at the line.
Im OCD so no one folds like me, especially towels!

  8. TWO!! Two loads of laundry is the answer for my dining room table. Well, two can fit, but I only put one load at a time on the table. Then I fold it immediately and put it away because I need the table for my next activity/project/meal.

  9. Apparently I went to spend the night at my aunt's house when I was 2 or 3 and I insisted on sleeping on the pool table in my sleeping bag. The adults put chairs all around me and let me.

  12. The puzzle is a good excuse for you to be able to sit down & not have to think about anything else, just focus one the puzzle - kinda like meditation :-)

  14. I've taken to doing Sudoku... kind of like your jigsaw I suppose for keeping the brain active. You should always grocery shop when it's quiet like that! I love an empty supermarket.

  15. A friend gave me some puzzles but I have yet to find a convenient place to do them. I'm also worried about losing pieces. Might just return them untouched for safety sake. Grocery day here too, hopefully it won't crowded. Take care.
