HOPEFULLY ... BEACH AGAIN TODAY

Today's plan... loosely ... cos plans can and do change... is to stay home in the morning, then after lunch go to the beach again.

I will probably get some housework done first off, then sew for an hour or so.

Then lunch... and beach.

The weather is supposed to be gorgeous, and the water is just so warm, I can't resist.

We might even stay out there for dinner.  Fish 'n' chips on the beach sounds wonderful.

I was a bit disappointed yesterday.  There was a little shack out by the Whitfield Pony Club that was falling down and derelict ... I had always admired it ... it had a certain charm.
So, I was going to photograph it as part of a series I am interested in forming.  (old buildings)

Well... when we got to Whitfield I was really sad to see some bugger had renovated it, and it was pristine and nothing like the 'old' hut it was.
I'm sure whoever renovated it is very proud of their work, it does look lovely now.  But I will miss it in it's old form.

ABOVE:  the little shack, no longer derelict, but beautiful.

I love old buildings, and hope to take many photos of them when I come across them.  They may look sad and forlorn to others, but to me they represent history, and are special.

Right, that's about all I have to blither on about right now, so catch ya later...

ONWARD...

YIKES!  Forgot to update all day.  Sorry.
Well... the day has been overcast all day so we stayed home.  The water is cold without the sunshine.
I've been sewing all day.  I lay all the blocks I had completed on my bed to see how many more I needed to do:

ABOVE:  I have made and quilted 15, and I have to do 10 more to cover the top of my bed.  I'm going to add borders to make it hang down the sides of the bed.
That leaves me with quite a few spare blocks, which I will make into pillow covers or maybe make another smaller throw blanket out of them?

Not sure yet.  But plenty of time to decide later on.

Stew took Dante for a walk in our pram while Steve, Bex, Brylee & Griffin went out to Spotlight.

ABOVE:  Of course, he went to sleep.

I'm now off to do more sewing, now that I've started again on the Dresden Plate Quilt I don't want to stop, this is good.

I can't believe it!  I've almost finished quilting all the blocks!  1 to go tomorrow then it will be time to get on Youtube and find a tutorial on how to join the blocks using 'Quilt as You Go' method.  I'm a total novice at this technique.  Doing the blocks was the easy part I think!

End of Day:  an awesome day, got so much sewing done.  Looking forward to tomorrow, when I can start on the next step.
nite nite
