A NEW TV... AND SEWING... AND SHOPPING

So... last night Steve and Bex gave me their small but brand new TV for down in my room... the one I had down there would not pick up the 'normal' channels at all.  It was only good for playing DVD's and CD's.

ABOVE:  So, I am rapt to have a telly that not only picks up the usual channels, it also has 'Free View'.

They took out of storage (under our stairs) their BIG TV for their room.

While they were down there, they hauled out their bigger baby carseat and tried Dante in it:

 ABOVE:  Strapping him in...

ABOVE:  Almost done...

ABOVE:  Yep, he fits in it easily, and he's only 4 months old.  I think we shall be using it before we know it.

ABOVE: my little sewing buddy.  She said last night she LOVED my little Brother sewing machine.  Awwwww, ain't that so cute.

ABOVE:  sometime today I shall try and get these drawer toppers done, then I will have a matching set in my room.  Cool.

So... today we are picking up Lacy and Keera and going down to the local mall for a girly morning out.
I'm sure we will also be stopping by Spotlight too... we can't seem to stay away from that shop.

ONWARD...

We just heard the news about the bombs in Boston, USA.  Dreadful.  Sad.  Hope they get the bastards who did such an evil thing.

Well.. the girls and I had a lovely morning at the mall/Spotlight.  We all managed to spend some $$'s... *smiles*

ABOVE:  I want to make a bag for my Mum with the Chooky fabric... she likes chooks.

ABOVE:  Something for Stew... I am sure he will like it.

We dropped Lacy and Keera at their home, and now it's time to relax for a while, watch Home and Away, then set about doing something constructive with the rest of the day.  Hell... it's almost 3 pm!  There isn't that much left of today!
Where did that time go???

End of Day: I made a lovely dinner tonight, a rich mince stew, cauliflower cheese, hasselback potatoes and veges.  So yum.
Going to bed early tonight as I didn't sleep well last night at all.  Too hot!
nite nite.

Chris - thank you for your kind words about Boston. It is a sad day for us here. I am a long way from there, but nonetheless, the pain of a bomb like this, hurts our Nation.

Loved seeing Dante in his car seat. I have a 6 month old grandson, he is big like Dante. I guess breast milk is higher octane nowadays. Haha

  2. You've been extra busy while we were away. Love the idea of living in the garage. Space away from your teenage and adult family will be so good for you.

Sad about Boston. Makes me feel sick to know there are so many ugly/crazy people about.

Congratulation on your successful weight loss plan. Good Job! Great to catch up with your blog again.

    Blessings

  3. Your bubba is growing up so quickly! That's fantastic Bex has gotten into the sewing, its like one on one professional tuition for her :). You girls are very productive the way you have it all set up and ready to go.
