AWESOME... AND NOAH!... and A GIVEAWAY

While I am trying NOT to focus on the scales too much... I am thrilled to say the buggers showed a loss this morning... after staying the same for almost 4 days! It is really disheartening when they stay the same when one is doing everything right.

Today I am taking myself to the movies again... not sure what I'm watching YET.... but it is time out from the boring, hum drum of housework. That in itself is GREAT...

I FOUND IT! YIPEEEE......
ABOVE: This is the Baby's Quilt I am going to make next... I ordered it today.. it come's in a kit ... and I can't wait to start on it. It's ADORABLE!

ABOVE: here is another giveaway you could win, simply by visiting THIS blogger, she is celebrating her blog anniversary... she is giving away this gorgeous quilt.

Anti Depressants: are working. But I wake up every morning feeling like a limp dishrag! No energy. Feeling ill. Just ikkkkk. Then as the day wears on I come right. Weird. Last night I had a real burst of energy and made Stew help me clean out the fridge! LOL.... I'm sure he would rather I'd dragged him off to bed... but .... NOPE. Lets clean the fridge!

The Doctor said last week that this will pass... that I am still in the 'trough' so to speak, and will start to feel much better soon. Here's hoping, cos I want to feel better all day, not just at the end of the day!

Pffffft... didn't go to the movies afterall. There wasn't much on that I really wanted to see... so I came home and caught up on all the TV programmes I missed while my Mum was visiting instead! Bliss.

Going to pull finger now and do some housework. Kids are due home soon too. Oh ya.

ABOVE: So, I did some housework (give me a medal).. then I started doing the blanket stitch around the cupcakes. I am going SLOW so I do a good job! It goes against me grain to go slow, but I am learning that it's important sometimes to go slow! I added two extra cupcakes to the original pattern too... cos I could!

End of Day: oh so interesting conversations tonight. More on that on Pepsi. nite nite.

  2. Congratulations on the loss! Scales can be your best friend or worst enemy. I agree with you, not to stay too focused on what the scale says. Keep up the great work! Stay empowered, motivated and focused!

  3. I can see why you wanted that quilt. It's gorgeous. Is this for a future grandchild? Congratulations on your weight loss but isn't it better to only weigh once a week?

  4. WOW - That baby quilt is sure cute, can't wait to see the finished product.

Fantastic news about the scales, it seems to be how this low carb thing works......you hover then drop, hover then drop. Takes a while to get your head around eh?

  8. Chris, may I suggest you stop looking at the scales for at least a week. It's driving me nuts that you keep looking. Btw, you're doing great. Keep going!

  9. Remember to only weigh yourself once a week, otherwise you won't notice anything, as our weight changes on a daily basis.

Fingers crossed for your next dr app!

That quilt does look lovely. Does the material come with the kit, or do you have to source that yourself?

  10. I know what you mean about the scales! I have been working my butt off for a month. Not only do I workout but I eat way less overall and I only saw a decrease of 2 pounds. Argh! So I started to get really discouraged but then yesterday, when I went to put on my favorite pants, I couldn't believe how loose they were. What??? I wasn't showing it on the scales yet my pants were looser. I was very happy yesterday. :D

  11. Love the new quilt! I'd love to have one! I'm sure it will give you a lift while you are working on it.

Kudos to you on the scales! I'm holding my own, as well. The meds will kick in soon enough. Stay busy...it helps me!

  12. Hi Chris, Happy to hear that you found the quilt that you wanted. It's a cutie for sure. I admire all you ladies that quilt...I've never made a quilt in my life and probably never will. So, I'm off to enter that give away for that gorgeous one you're showing. Thanks for the heads up!

    XOXO,

  13. Aw, thanks, Chris! What I probably should have said is that I would have ZERO patience to make a quilt - I want instant gratification! LOL If it takes longer than a day to make it, I probably won't do it.

  15. Love the quilt.

And Chris, you know very well that the scales aren't going to change every day! Weigh daily if you must (I do to remind myself of how far I've come) but only count it once a week.

    Here endeth the lecture!

I'm going to see Alice in Wonderland on Friday. Kids saw Men Who Stare at Goats and weren't impressed. I want to see A Single Man but might have to do that on my own.

  17. Hi ya,

Not sure if you have seen it yet, but I would really recommend the movie "its complicated" with Meryl Streep, great for a giggle and something Stew would probably get a laugh at too if you were able to go together.

Saw it at the weekend and thought it was well worth see. (funny and lighthearted).

  18. what time do you take your pill chris? that may be why you are feeling sluggish. whatever time you are taking it, try taking it 8 hours earlier and see if you feel better in the am.
