WILL WE OR WON'T WE???

Today, probably late this afternoon we will find out if the majority of New Zealand will go down to Level 2.

Which means shops will open again.

I totally want that to happen!

There's lots of threads etc that I am running out of, now that I'm back sewing again.

I am hopeful, but optimistic too.  There might be a drop in our level, but maybe it's more like Level 2.5?  Less restrictions, but more caution.

As for Auckland, they are bound to stay at Level 4, due to the Covid numbers still being significant.  YES, they are coming down slowly ... but not enough yet for them to drop down to Level 3 I reckon.  I might be wrong... time will tell.

This morning I am picking Lacy up (she's in our bubble) and taking her to the Dr's for her first Covid vaccination.

She's shitting herself.

Well actually, she's OPPOSED and STRONGLY against the vaccination... like we were to begin with.  But... she's doing it for us.

After that's accomplished, I'll probably take her home then come back here to start a new Runner.

Brylee has another appointment with the Specialist this morning, at the same time Lacy has her vaccination in fact.

With any luck she will get some concrete answers about her dislocating shoulder.  She's hoping to get the surgery, so it never happens again.

Stew is still working from home, it's so nice to have company during the day.  I will miss him once he's back at work.

Slowly going nuts with frustration.
Even if our painter could come tomorrow (with us out of the house) he probably can't do our walls because there is NO pigmented sealer in the Waikato.
It's all 'trapped' in friggin' Auckland, which is still at Level 4.  Nothing is leaving Auckland for anywhere else... hence shortages of all building supplies, painting supplies and so on.

Steve (son) works at a Construction Company, and they are struggling to do any work at all due to shortages of virtually all materials.

F*#kin' Covid.... F#*K OFF.

Lacy did well... she's now had her first vaccination, so has Brylee.

I've talked Griffin into having it too.
AND Steve & Bex.  I wonder who else I need to nag?  😂😊  MIKE & JOYCE???

I've been on the phone lots today!  Steve.  Griffin.  Lacy.  Brylee.  Ron.

Nice to be home now... and doing some odd jobs around the house.

ABOVE:  Lacy back home with her menagerie of animals.

Brylee:  is not getting surgery YET.  The specialist wants her back at work, driving, living her life as usual.  He's taking a wait and see approach, as he wants to avoid surgery if at all possible.
Brylee is not happy, but she can't force him to do it can she?  *sigh*

Ron is doing well... he's in New South Wales, and in lockdown, and has been for quite a while.  With the numbers being really high over there, there's no sign of a letting up of their lockdown any time soon.  He's managing OK though.  He's a bit of a  hermit anyway, so staying home does not bother him.

Sadly, we won't be able to go over and visit him for quite some time yet.

Back to this side of the ditch...OMG I can't wait to see if we shall be dropping down to Level 2!

ABOVE:  I went outside, and was surprised at how many flowers we have.  I must plant more for next spring.  So pretty and uplifting.

I've got a headache and just want to have a nap!  But I'm starving... so better get some lunch.  It is 1.20 pm... bit late for lunch, but normal for me.

AWESOME NEWS!  We will be dropping to Level 2 at 11.59 pm tomorrow night!
Back to a semblance of NORMAL for us.

SHOPPING!
Road trips.
Weekends away... must book something for Stew and I for 17th, 18th and 19th of September!

Gosh I am so happy.  Spotlight on Wednesday... HERE I COME!  I sooooooo need more threads.

I was going to cook Chicken pieces cooked in a sweet and sticky sauce over flavoured rice for dinner.
I cooked a Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert.

Stew took one look at the Lemon Meringue Pie and declared he wanted JUST the Pie for dinner!

ABOVE:  It was really YUM.   I always add way more lemon juice and zest to the recipe.  Makes it much tarter.  We love it.
I should feel guilty, but I don't!  😂😅😆

It's now 11.44 pm.  Time for bed.  Catch ya tomorrow.

  1. Thank you Lacy for doing the right thing! The vaccine is safe, effective, and EASY. It is the tiniest little vaccine in the world. No need to be alarmed! It is more drama waiting for the vaccine than the tiny little jab itself!
I hope Brylee gets her arm sorted (and a vaccine).

When the Govt is being criticised for a slow roll-out of the vaccine, I think about the number of people (including me, my husband, you and Stew) who didn't want it to begin with and therefore if it was slow it has paid off because it has given people like us enough time to decide we should have it. Well done, Lacy, for doing it for others. Audrey in Rotorua

  3. I agree about the shortages of supplies out of Auckland. If we have to stay in level 4 then something needs to be done about urgent goods out of the city. I hope Brylee gets some answers, it must be awful going through that.

  4. Good for you Lacy! I was against it too but I'm glad I had it as hubby still has a job and even though I don't go out much I would hate to get it and pass it onto him. I get my second jab on November 1st and then I will be free!

  5. Well done, Lacy. The media and the internet have a lot to answer regarding the false information about the vaccine. I am now fully vaxed and waiting with baited breath to see if I will be able to see my kids and grandkids any time before next year!

  10. You can use our family as an example. I am the only one vaccinated and mostly better after just 4 days of being sick compared to 9 plus for other family members.
