NICE SPOT FOR LUNCH

After work yesterday, I decided to treat myself and get a burger and chips.
Then I thought, might just go park up somewhere and enjoy being outside for a little while, even though it was a bit cloudy with spots of rain around.

ABOVE:  The Waikato River is so pretty in places.  I really enjoyed sitting watching it flow past.  Oh, and there were two hawks on the hunt ... very interesting watching them too.
They seemed to be trying to catch fish, which isn't what I was expecting to see.

Having some time to myself, out of the house was just lovely ... I need to do that more often.

I am home sewing all day today, until mid afternoon, then I go to work at the rest home for a few hours.

  3. Good idea getting off into nature for a bit of time out, you could make it a regular thing, even if you just take your packed lunch from home or a thermos of tea :-)

You live in a beautiful part of the world - it's so easy to take things like that for granted, isn't it, and not get out and enjoy them. Good for the soul.
