After work yesterday, I decided to treat myself and get a burger and chips.
Then I thought, might just go park up somewhere and enjoy being outside for a little while, even though it was a bit cloudy with spots of rain around.
ABOVE: The Waikato River is so pretty in places. I really enjoyed sitting watching it flow past. Oh, and there were two hawks on the hunt ... very interesting watching them too.
They seemed to be trying to catch fish, which isn't what I was expecting to see.
Having some time to myself, out of the house was just lovely ... I need to do that more often.
I am home sewing all day today, until mid afternoon, then I go to work at the rest home for a few hours.
It looks like a very pretty site to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Have a lovely day ... I'm pleased you are able to enjoy some sewing time today.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous spot. I drove down to rotorua yesterday and I love all around the waikato... well most places 😉
ReplyDeleteLovely spot indeed.
ReplyDeleteGood idea getting off into nature for a bit of time out, you could make it a regular thing, even if you just take your packed lunch from home or a thermos of tea :-)

DeleteSorry must have been auto correct - I meant of course Diet coke lol.
DeleteLOL Tracy - can you imagine Chris pacing a thermos of tea? Are those pigs flying across the sky?? haha...

ReplyDeleteYou live in a beautiful part of the world - it's so easy to take things like that for granted, isn't it, and not get out and enjoy them. Good for the soul.
