SHOPPING, GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE

This morning I am going into Hamilton.  Spotlight to be exact.

I have run out of at least three of the threads I'm using for the mug rugs... and it won't be long before I run out of batting again too.

So... what a good excuse to get out of the house!

I don't know if any of the family will be coming with me... they are all still in bed!

Maybe I will slope off on me own?

I don't think I will be sewing all day today.  My feet are still all swollen.  It might be prudent to keep them up for a good portion of the day to give them a break.
Somehow I don't think it will be too hard to sit and watch some mindless TV for a change.  *smiles*

ABOVE: I'm going to make little notes like this to pin to my mug rugs too.  How cute is this one?
I might play around on the computer today designing my own.

And now... I'm off to do stuff.

ONWARD...

12.37 pm:  Well I got into town and was surprised at how quiet it was.  Even Spotlight, which is usually busy was super quiet.  No queues at all... and their sale was still on, so everything was heavily discounted.
SCORE!

Bex mentioned Ribbon Rose in Auckland today... *sniff* ... I do miss that shop.  I might be tempted to go for a day trip up to Auckland soon!  *smiles*

It's nice just sitting here relaxing today.  My foot swelling has gone down markedly... but my left leg is aching and feels horrid.  Not sure why.  But maybe I just need to keep it elevated some more.

LUNCHTIME...   fed.  Happy.

Been playing with my Mug Rug tags:

ABOVE: So I quite like these.  If I print 6 per page they should be a nice size.

LYNDA:  First DRAFT, still working on them actually.

Well... it's the end of the day, I'm watching Coronation Street... which is just lovely.
I think I have my first Mug Rug tag nailed down... will show you tomorrow.
I've also made one for Bex's crochet sales too.

  5. I liked the set out of the original label - the text being centred looked good and the font. Perhaps bring your margins in a tiny bit?

My god, I don't know how Chris deals with all your views. Maybe just stick to commenting on your own "perfect life" one of the reasons why I stopped reading your blog.

    3. Oh dear, I think I was taken the wrong way! I never meant to be negative in my comment, I was trying to be constructive. Damn the written word when it doesn't read as it's meant to be :) Magpie... were you meaning that I wasn't nice or the comment from anonymous? It was certainly not my intention.

Anonymous: I don't have a perfect life but I am lucky in that I have a good life. That's fine if you no longer read my blog - I mainly write a blog for my own enjoyment and if others enjoy it too then all the better.

    4. Lynda, I didn’t mean you at all, I was referring to anonymous. You always try to be helpful.

    5. Phew, thanks Magpie, I'm glad you were not upset with me. I don't like upsetting Chris and have apologised if my post seemed rude. Thanks for the reply!

I am smaller than a placemat, bigger than a coaster.
Perfect for a coffee and bread from your toaster.
If I get dirty or wet,
Just wash and air dry and again I am all set.
