HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING, BACK TO WORK

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO STEW, LOVE YOU DARLING

And the poor bugger has to go back to work today.  What a way to celebrate your birthday!

While he's slaving away under a mountain of paperwork... I shall be doing this:

ABOVE:  Trimming all of these half made mug rugs before I cut out their backing fabrics and sew them all together.  This lot will easily take me a few days.

Maybe even longer, as McDreamy is playing up, the little shit!
I'm scared stiff he's going to spit the dummy and die on me!  He keeps stopping all on his own, and refusing to start again for several seconds, sometimes as long as 20 seconds!
It's really slowing me down, and doing my head in.

The last thing I want is to have to send him up to Auckland for repair ... and if it's his internal computer, I dread to think how much that could cost.

I took a video of him misbehaving, so I can show the repair man IF I have to take him in for repair.

Just quickly, 'diet' is doing good, exercise is going to get purposeful again soon... just have to get back into a good routine.
The 'big' kids are doing well... seem to be perfectly happy just being home or out with friends.

Keera has settled into her new home well... a few little teething issues, testing boundaries and learning how to be a nice big sister, so I'd say the 'honeymoon' period is over!  lol

Brylee, Griffin and I are looking forward to visiting them tomorrow, the big kids have not seen Steve and Bex's new home yet.  So that will be nice.  I will also take them down to the local beach, they are going to be surprised just how close it is.  They also have a local swimming complex near them too, close enough to walk to even!  It's just a lovely area to be living in.  Bex already loves it!

And that's saying a lot, cos she LOVES Spotlight, and there isn't one of those near her, like at her old house!

Right, enough waffling, I shall get on with my day.

ONWARD...

2.15 pm:  Sheesh the day is going fast!  I have done some sewing, been down town to get stuff for the man... picked up Brylee who was doing some banking business, and scheduled the pups 3rd vaccinations for Wednesday.

Now I'm about to head back into the sewing room for a while.

It's stinking hot and muggy outside, not a cloud in the sky.

So, inbetween all the other shit I've had to do today (far too much, and annoying), I have been TRYING to make something a bit different in the sewing room.
I wanted to take a break from the mug rugs, just for the day.

So I found a cute photo online of a a cute soft animal, and made it.  I had to make the pattern first of course, and work out how to put it together, which took me a little while, it's been ages since I did something like this.

ABOVE:  Super cute... not as hard as the Giraffe than goodness!  But still tricky.  I have to stitch up his side, then he's done.

If I make another one, I will be having a seam down the middle of the back, to make turning it in the right way after stitching much easier!  Live and learn.

10.00 pm:  Well, I've been sewing all night, and watching TV too.  Time for some birthday cake!

  1. Happy Birthdat Stew.
Glad to hear Keera is going well, teething issues are to be expected but I'm sure they will soon be ironed out.
I'm sure Bex is happy with the compromise of a better home and location against a slightly longer trip to Spotlight.

Keera will be excited to see you I am sure. No matter how much preparation there was bound to be a few teething problems until everyone gets used to the new reality. Overall I bet she is as happy as a clam in her new place & the boys thrilled to have a sister too πŸ˜€
