A NOTHING DAY

Today I have absolutely NOTHING on my agenda.

I'm in a pissy mood.  I might even go back to bed once the kids are off to school.

I should be getting on with my Dresden Plate Quilt, but I don't want to work on that with my little Brother machine.

So... *sigh*... I shan't.

The only good thing I'm happy about today is that last night, after dinner, I didn't have a thing to eat.  I wanted to, I craved something sweet.   But I kept my resolve and didn't cave in.
That's good eh?

The blood pressure 'patch' on my upper arm is a bit tender.  I hope there isn't anything nasty going on under that thing.  It hurts when I press it.  Maybe I should stop pressing it then!  Derrrrr.

There are no photos to share today, same as yesterday.  No point taking yet another photo of my latest Mug Rug... or even the babes.  They don't change much after just a day or two.
Dante is cutting his first two molars, so is a bit grizzly.
I'm sure he doesn't want me to photograph his erupting molars ... and I bet you are glad of that.

I will leave you with this:

It's my crabby face.  See, I didn't even have any make up on!  Don't care.  Might just go back to bed soon, hopefully will get up on the other side later... I hope you are having a better day than me.

ONWARD...

Well, I stayed in bed till 8.15, then got up just in time to say 'bye' to Brylee and Griffin as they headed off to school.  Then I attacked my wardrobe.  I've got 3 really big bags of clothes I'm taking to the Hospice Shop.

And Karen... none of it is worth sending down to you.  It's all old and worn, or stuff my mother left here that is far too small for me, even if I lost 20 kilos!  Also, it's not quite my style.
Someone will benefit from her clothes I'm sure.

Third day being 'on track' and I am already feeling more positive.  Amazing.  Now I just need to keep it up!
Please NO ONE go and upset me cos I will just head straight to the chocolate!  I'm bad like that.

Stew and I are going out on Friday night (Valentine's Day).  Probably go to a movie.  Hmmm... that will be a big challenge as I always have lollies and an ice cream at the movies!

Maybe I better take my own food?  Crackers, cheese, relish?  Can I have a picnic at the movies ?  Might be worth a try.

Steve is home from work.  Rained off.  And he's got a dicky tummy.

I still haven't done a thing today!

Ahhh NO... I've put me face on.  And that is all.

And now I'm going to cook some lunch for Bex and myself.
Courgette, onion, tomato and some bacon.  Yum!

Well it's official.  I have done NOTHING today!  Literally nothing.  I had a nana nap this afternoon, Bex cooked dinner and miss Keera is here for a little while, as Lacy is on her course.

BELLA:  a courgette is a zucchini, or some sort of squash.  We eat them cooked.  You can get green or yellow courgettes, and they can grow quite large.  Most people pick them before they get too big.

End of Day:  a very so-so day.  In a right funk.  Hopefully I snap out of it soon.

  1. Lucky you being able to go back to bed but I wonder if you actually will. I always imagine especially with our terrible weather at the moment staying in bed and watching morning TV.
Thing is I never do it, weird eh. I think it's all to do with guilt, but I have no idea why.
If you do go back to bed I hope you enjoy it. Have a lovely day.

Hey! It's OK! We all have days like that.
Where I live, we are above single digit temps for the first time in almost 2 weeks! Usually has been -20F degrees at night and only 8 or 9F during the day. 17F today and it feels down right balmy!
I know how frustrating sewing machine issues can be. Cannot believe that the place you purchased it from/have it repaired at,
does not stand behind their product. A loaner machine would have gone a long way towards good customer service.
I've commented this on your blog before, but your grandkids are so cute! Love Dante's blue eyes!
