ROCKS

I'm a bit sick of talking about rocks.... but basically that's what we are working on today.

Getting the last of the rocks from around the back and into the old pond.

Then we will need to go and get a trailer load of slightly bigger rocks to add to the 'rockery', so it can then be finished off with potted plants and so on.

I am so looking forward to that being done.

It is a welcome distraction from the #1 thing that keeps playing on my mind.  The damn driveway.

THAT just makes me blood boil.

So... moving rocks.  Getting more rocks.  Tittivating the rockery.

That will be our day.

Oh and we have Brylee moving back in here for a little while today.  That will be interesting.  MILK.  (private joke) πŸ˜‹πŸ˜†πŸ˜…

10.30 am:  Stew went down to the supermarket for his regular weekly shop.  He buys the bulk Diet Coke for us.

While there today, he saw the Posh Poppas were back in stock (they are usually sold out of the one we love)....

ABOVE:  He left two boxes of the Posh Poppas behind.  You are welcome.

Now... it's time for the rocks.

ABOVE:  'Just' the poles to dig out now... then topsoil and grassed.

That will be next weekend probably.

ABOVE:  We got a single load of rocks... and they have totally filled the gaps.
During the week I will sit and work out where I want to place our pots and so on, and we can do that next weekend too.

After finishing the rocks, we jumped in the pool to cool down.
Then a cool shower and blob out time!
I might even have a tipple later on.

Steve, Bex and the boys arrived while we were in the pool, so we had company.... besides Brylee.

Brylee.  So far so good, though she has already exceeded her '6 questions a day' quota!

9.30 pm:  It's been a very nice afternoon and evening.
I cooked a pasta and franks dish for our dinner.
Now I'm watching The Midwives before heading off to bed.
Catch ya tomorrow.

    1. I think Posh Poppas is the brand.

I looked up several of the other words, and I may be off, but from the recipes listed, it looks like a form of a sweet potato hash brown (fried) with added ingredients.

Posh Poppas is the brand, made in Tauranga, New Zealand. Basically intended as a finger food with a crispy crumb outside and a sauce inside. They can be deep fried, oven baked or cooked in an air fryer. Haven't tried them yet but thanks, Chris, for introducing them to us. Are you going to try any of other flavours or just the kumara one? Have just added the kumara ones to my next Countdown order! Audrey
