WHAT TO DO

Stew and I would love to go on a Day Trip today.

Our biggest problem is WHERE?

Hamilton in slap bang in the middle of the upper North Island (roughly), and we have been to MOST places within a 2-3 hour drive already.  Some places we've visited countless times.

We are wary of going north to Auckland, as it has the most Covid cases circulating right now.

We don't feel like just driving somewhere, having lunch and coming home again.  Been there, done that.

So, unless we can think of something to do, somewhere interesting to go, we might just have to friggin well stay home.

ABOVE:  My darling granddaughter Keera.  Silly faces.

ABOVE:  a nicer one.  😊💜💚💙

If we do end up staying at home, I will get Stew to blow up the Swiss Ball.

Then I will sit down and write out an exercise plan for myself.

It will include walking on the Treadmill, Cross Trainer, squats using the Swiss Ball, some core exercises, weights etc.

While it's still warm, I can put some swimming on the list too.

Right, that's me for now.

Catch ya later.

FINALLY!  It rained all night.
There's some serious flooding in various places throughout the North Island.  The South Island got flooding a few days ago. Same weather system moving up the country.

Our pool if full to the brim.  The pond is filling up again, I am going to get Stew to poke holes in the lining so it doesn't hold water again.

As the weather is WET... I feel like doing some work outside.  Won't get too hot right?
So, some stones might get moved to the pond area today.

If I do two loads, and Stew does two loads... that's progress.

ABOVE:  It hasn't stopped raining/drizzling all morning.  Perfect for working in the garden/back yard!
Between us, Stew and I moved about 10 wheel barrows full of stones and rocks.

ABOVE:  I'm now starting to wonder if we will have enough stones to fill the pond!
We will see, if we have to, we will bring in some rocks.

Now though, it's have a shower and go out for lunch.  We've earned it.

ABOVE:  So... where are we?

No guesses!  Pfffft.
So, we went to The Foundation at The Base.

Wonderful service, amazing lunch:

ABOVE:  We both got a Foundry Burger with fries.

ABOVE:   What an amazing burger!  Home made Hash Brown on the bottom, home made, very flavoursome Beef Pattie, Crispy Bacon, Cheese and a huge Onion Ring.  Lashings of BBQ sauce.

After lunch we went to Mitre 10 to get some new garden tools.  Our Broom and Leaf Rake are on their last legs, and we got a wider spade for those pesky stones.

While in the queue to pay, I noticed the man in front of us was also buying a new broom.

ABOVE:  I just couldn't help myself, I told him our new broom was bigger than his.  Like nah nah na na.  Only I didn't say the 'Nah nah na na', I just thought it.
He did laugh as he left with his inferior broom.  😂😅😉

Well... it's 9.32 pm.  We had  a lovely quiet afternoon.  Then Steve, Bex and the boys came over for a swim in the rain.

I cooked roast duck for dinner.... it was AMAZING!  Almost as good as our duck dinner down in New Plymouth.

Now... it's quiet time till bed.

Gorgeous photo of you and Keera. She is growing up so fast. Crappy weather down here. Stay home and knit a hat for Annette in USA.

  7. I can’t tell the overall spacing, but would 1-3 of your larger pots/planters work sitting on the rocks in the area that was the pond? Or one of your benches?

  13. Gorgeous photos of you and Keera 💕 OMG those burgers are huge. You did so well to eat that meal and then have Roast Duck for dinner hehe. I would have been in a food coma after lunch and no way would I could even get through half of it let alone eat dinner 🤦‍♀️ Although with you moving all those stones you worked up a hunger
