HOUSE RUNNER

Well.. I didn't expect to finish the new Table Runner yesterday, but I did!

I showed it to you yesterday, unfinished... so now, here it is, all done:

ABOVE:  I'm thrilled with it!  It was quite a lot of fiddly work, but worth it.

ABOVE: Some of the window details.  That part was fun *smiles*.

Now, today I am going to make another one.  Why not?  I'm on a roll, and the weather is wet on/off, so not an outside sorta day.

This year is almost over!  Scary how fast the years roll by as you get older.
5 sleeps till Christmas, and I do believe I'm 95% ready.
Just have to pick up a gift voucher and some food for Christmas Day.

Right, I'm off to start the day... catch ya later.

ONWARD...

12.15 pm:  And I've been 'at it' all morning, getting the 2nd House Runner laid out.
It's taking forever.

ABOVE:  This is called organised chaos.  I will worry about tidying up after I've finished!

ABOVE:  This one really is taking ages to get laid out.  It reminds me of when I first started making the Tree Table Runners.

They used to take me bloody hours to lay out, but now I can get them laid out pretty quickly.

So, I doubt I will get this one finished today, cos I'm still not ready to start stitching yet.

It's so quiet around here!  Lacy is watching TV in the lounge and Brylee and Griffin are in their rooms doing their own thing.

Brylee got sunburnt yesterday, silly girl should have learnt after seeing the pain I was in from my burnt belly!

She is  now having to go through the exact same pain I'm in.  SUNBLOCK..... must. use. sunblock.

I'm having me lunch right now, then I will get back to it.

It's now 6.25 pm and we just had dinner, which was left over Spag Bol mince on toast.  Waste not want not and all that shit.

My batteries ran down this afternoon, so I've not got much more done... well, I have progressed the House Runner, but not that much.

There's still a shit load of stitching to do.

ABOVE:  I'm tired just looking at it!

11 pm:  And I have finally stopped for the night.  I have not gotten the House Runner finished, but it's not far off!
I'm utterly knackered, and off to bed shortly.

  2. Love the houses. Did you use wadding and quilt it? Once the silly season is over I'm planning on getting back into my sewing. It's been over a year since we moved house and all I've done is a bit of knitting and cross stitching. What should be my sewing room is where the grandkids sleep when visiting.
