Emily found out that you could get into trouble once you start crawling:
ABOVE: I wonder what she thought was behind the sofa? dust balls.... shush, don't tell anyone!
ABOVE: we didn't have to go looking for her, she started crying and bellowing... cos she got stuck... she couldn't go forward or backwards... lol.
ABOVE: saved by Granddad! She will probably do it again too.
TODAY: Out to do some shopping, pay a bill or two... buy some Christmas presents... only got to buy for Brylee and Griffin, Steve and Stew now. Yaaaa. First time in YEARS I am on top of it ... no last minute rush for me. I am really happy about that. I usually hate Christmas and all the wrapping.
ONWARD...
Living in Auckland can be bad for your health. I had an attack of 'Road Rage' today... I was swearing like a trooper ... some people just should not be on the road! I'm sure my blood pressure rose significantly while I was following a van doing 35 km/hr in a 70 km/hr area.... I had NO opportunity to overtake and this git was slowing down reading house numbers FOR AGES! I just wanted to get a big hammer and hit him! Grrrrrr.
Right , rant over... I went out specifically for an organiser box for all the Christmas do da's...
ABOVE: see? My work desk is in a right mess... and I hate mess....
ABOVE: so there is the organiser box... and a few other bits 'n' bobs.... See those long wooden panels? They are to replace the dining table extension I am presently using at my work desk.
I went to Bunnings for them... and they were darn heavy to carry too... did any of the blokes who work there offer to help? Nah. Useless gits.
I did a bit of a grumble at two of them as I passed them in the store...
Clearly I should have stayed home today.
I just ended up getting like... really grumpy by the time I got home.
ABOVE: *squeals*.... I'm dying to try this! I have someone in mind who is going to get a T-shirt with a photo on. I haven't done this before, so I hope I can do it right. That paper is darned expensive!
ABOVE: two reasons to be happy. I got it all tidied up, and I have finished the Aussy order... and can post it in the next couple of days. Yaaaa.
WOMBAT: ha ha ha! I bet the little tartlet was too! No magazines behind the couch ... what a shame.
End of Day: well I've had a really nice day today... got lots done... dinner was lovely... enjoyed finally getting to sit down and do NOTHING for the remainder of the evening.
nite nite.
Was a delight to read bout Emily this morning while getting my iv antibiotics in hospital :) she made me smile
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to catch up on blogs etc while I'm on my ahem rest? Sigh oh god vampire lady looking for me ,, I go no more blood to give lady geez
Bless the little darling, she's so cute
ReplyDeleteI have bought 3 presents so far but being estranged from ones family means I dont have to buy many !!!!
ReplyDeleteHaaaa! She probably WILL do it again, many times. She is a cutie pie. :)
ReplyDeleteThe perils of crawling!! lol Cute photo of grand dad helping her out of her tight spot! ...debbie
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I am so not looking forward to Christmas. We will be having Christmas this year and his family's house and each person there always expects a gift. It's embarrassing if I don't because they all give us gifts. I love being there but there is just too much pressure. :( I'd rather be just focusing on my family here at home.

ReplyDeleteI hope the T-Shirt transfers have improved over the years, I used them years ago and hated them they looked cheap and nasty.... Make sure you get a good quality t shirt...... And good luck!!
ReplyDeleteChristmas sounds stressful. I'm glad my family doesn't do Christmas. Buying birthday presents and anniversary presents are tough enough. Chinese New Year sounds so much simpler - just stuff some money in red packets.
ReplyDeleteEmily did get into a mess, and you are right that she will probably do it again. Lucky girl to have a strong man come to her rescue.
ReplyDeleteSorry you ran into people that made you grumpy today....that slow driver would have put me in a snit too.
Babies just seem to have a real gift for getting themselves into trouble! Isn't it lovely to have someone who loves them enough to "Rescue" them. LOL
ReplyDeleteI haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet and I don't look forward to it one bit. Not even for Bryson. It's so hard to know what to get everyone.
ReplyDeleteYour craft desk looks great - love the labels boxes
ReplyDeleteEmily wasn't looking for magazines was she? You're doing great this year, getting so organised before chrissy! Have you got the food side all planned out yet? I wish I had a crafty area like that. WOMBAT
ReplyDeleteMy mom's sofa is just far enough from the wall that the kids can climb back there. They think it's great fun, it's like a fort lol
ReplyDeleteI get pissed at work when I'm trying to carry something heavy and the guys there don't offer to help (they NEVER do) Bunch of jerks.
Loving the craft area. Oh, how I would love a dedicated space in my joint for similar! xxxx
ReplyDeleteSeriously, if I could run away and forget Christmas I would be happy. Emily crawling- now the fun begins
ReplyDeleteMartine
I love that printer paper, I bought some oneies and used my imagine machine to decorate them for the baby...made the clheap white oneies look like expensive ones and they are original, good luck you will get hooked :)
ReplyDeleteHi Chris,
ReplyDeleteThat paper sounds like a Christmas gift idea with potential. Hope it works out. I remember when I was a bit older than Emil (about 8 or so) I crawled behind the sofa one night to find out what exciting things happened after I went to bed. No one knew I was there, but I woke up in the middle of the night there - obviously the night happenings in the lounge weren't exciting enough to keep me awake!
Gorgeous little girl, love the bottom half photos of her sticking out.
Well done on getting the cards finished!
Penny xo
She is experimenting with two dimensional mobility, when she discovers three dimensional mobility, all that stuff on the tables will be in danger!
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting a jump on Christmas preparation, I as usually am avoiding it.
ReplyDeleteHaha. I just noticed what was on the table next to the printer in that photo of Emily! I sure hope that was a toy! :-D
