BACK TO WORK

Now that my March market is behind me, and I don't have another one until May, I can get on with my Australian order.

Today I will make a start on this cot quilt:

ABOVE:  I'm going to have fun making this one for a little girl.  Let's see how I can 'PINK' it up!  *smiles*

ABOVE:  The first thing I'm gunna do is make flowers to put on top/over some of the flowers on the panel.
That should be fun.

ABOVE:  I found a place for the three tiered basket thingee.  I am going to put projects I'm still working on in it... it fits there just fine.

I've had some blue glass earrings for over 30 years, they are my all time favourite earrings.  For the past couple of years they have kept breaking... so they have been living in a little bag in me drawers.
On Sunday I gave them to Kelly, as I thought she would be able to fix them for me.

ABOVE:  I'm thrilled to say she fixed them immediately!  So now I can wear them again, knowing the teardrop at the bottom is not going to fall off all the time.  I'm so lucky that every time one fell off I found it!
OMG no makeup, glasses on, a wonky eyebrow even. lol  But  oh well... I don't really care.

I'm now gunna get up and start me day.  Porridge in bed I reckon.

ONWARD...

Well today was supposed to be Brylee's first day at her new job.  But because the person responsible for getting her contract signed off hasn't done it, she's being sent home!
Poor kid, she got up early and off to 'work' only to be sent home.

Looks like she won't be starting until next week now.

On a happier note:

ABOVE:  and as I type this, it's about ready to rain again.
Which means I don't have to water anything, and I'd say the drought is OVER.

ABOVE: The Statistic counter on my blog.  Since Steve got ill... page views jumped from an average of 700 a day to well over 1,000!  Steve has now got a BIG HEAD.  He thinks everyone just LOVES HIM.  lol

Been quiet on here today... I've done bugger all today!  Just a quiet day, catching up on some rest and relaxation really.  I didn't even get into the studio!!!
But I will later on I'm sure.

Steve is doing well today, finding himself getting very tired very fast, but that's to be expected.

The boys are loving having their Dad home all day as you can imagine.

I'm about to try a new dinner idea.  I'm doing a small Beef Wellington.  That's a chunk of beef wrapped in onions/mustard sauce/bacon and pastry.  Sounds amazing.  Let's see how that goes.  *smiles*

ABOVE:  Well... it wasn't pretty.  It was raw in the middle (the meat), but it tasted good.
We had it with a lettuce salad and hassleback potatoes.

There's plenty of leftovers for Lacy tomorrow too.

It's now sign off time.  I'm done with the day.

  1. You look perfectly fine without make-up :-).

Poor Brylee, the same thing happened to my niece - and to make things worse, she missed out on coming up to Auckland for her Great Uncles 60th because she was supposed to start her new job but they hadn't done her contract so she was sent home.

We were worried about Steve, so glad he is better. Your home is stunning and I love your yard! You deserve a pat on the back for your careful planning, moving, sorting and basically just getting stuff done. If everyone had your get up and go, we'd all be better. Bravo Super Woman!!
(p.s. 'was that too much' haha)

Peta is right about Steve, I'm old enough to be his Mum too, his inclusion in your blog is a joy. He is a great Son, Husband and Father, such a playful, fun personality, so yes we do care and are pleased his health is improving. Heather.

  13. OOOH! I would make my way over to your house for some of those left-overs. I have been on a quest to find Beef Wellington at a restaurant ever since I got addicted to watching Hell's Kitchen! It is Chef Ramsey's signature dish!
