YAWN...

 Good morning.

Well... the little boys ended up staying the night with us.

Archer jumped into bed with us at 7 am, so not too early a wake up.  Dante was not far behind him.

ABOVE:  Three blokes in me bed.  Very cute.

Today we are planning on doing some shopping with girls.  And Stew is helping Steve and a friend of his move a spa pool.

It's cloudy right now, so very much like yesterday. It is supposed to get nicer towards the middle of the day.

I hope it does, the pool is looking very inviting.

Right, I'm off to get the first load of washing on.

ONWARD...

Last night I spent over 3 hours writing out my memories of my stay in Australia.  It was a very cathartic experience, and one I hope helps ease my mind over aspects that were upsetting, and still weigh heavily on my mind.

Well... I hope it helps.  Because I'm tired of what's running around in my mind.

ABOVE:  And our weekend has started.  Miss Muppet and Lacy are here with us.  Later on the boys will no doubt be back for a swim... so it's going to be really lovely... kids/pool/ice creams.

Perfect summer day ahead.

Just need the sun to come out!

ABOVE:  Well... we went to the shops, got some summer clothes, had some lunch with the masses, then came home.
Lacy and Keera are now in the pool having a whale of  time.
I will be getting in myself soon.
The sun is OUT!
ABOVE:  Best day in forever.

Stew, Steve and the little boys went down to some place at The Base and bought two more small life jackets.  So now all three of these grandchildren are safe in the pool.

NOT that we just chuck them in and walk away!
We still watch them every minute they are in the pool.

It just takes the worry away, if you take your eyes off them for a moment.

Sun, pool, food, kids, noise.... OMG I am so tired!  So is Stew.  He fell asleep this afternoon, even though there was heaps of noise all around him!
I don't think either of us will be long out of bed tonight.

I'm going to sign off now... it's been a long but delightful day.  Now we are just relaxing after dinner.

  1. Ah, the little boys in the bed. We get this with our two youngest but I usually have to bail out as there's no room for four! It's so cute though and before we know it they'll be to grown up to want to do this. Great memories to hold on to though.

I hope your writing helps. Be gentle with yourself. You've been through so much.

  7. I'm so glad I can still read your blog. Now that you have written down your Australia experiences, you can tell yourself, "I already wrote that down. I don't have to think about it anymore." It goes away and stops bothering you for awhile. And if it's something you haven't written down yet, you can go write it down. I did this with some of my difficult experiences and it really helped. So nice to see warm summer days and happy people together! Thank you!

  8. What fun! Glad things are getting back to normal for you. I'm envious, in Washington state USA with cold and rain and maybe snow. But our Spring, and Summers, and fall are usually very nice.
