Today the first grandchild born while his parents lived with us turns 8.
He spent his first 2.8 years under our roof, which was rather special.

ABOVE: Some happy snaps taken last night before dinner. It was so hot, everyone needed to cool off.I didn't get an contenders (that I liked) for the new name for me 'attractor' yesterday.
So the guys sat down and came up with a few options.

This morning I'm going out shopping. I hope to get all my Christmas shopping finished today.
I have probably 6 presents left to get. And boxes of chocolates. It's a family tradition, me giving everyone a box of chocolates.
The boxes used to cost around $4 each. Now? Well.. let's see shall we.
Lastly for now... I started doing this last night:

ABOVE: Something tells me it's gunna be a busy day. Christmas shopping, then home for a while, then this afternoon another outing. And the traffic out there is crazy... schools are out for the holidays now. So the shops/malls etc. are going to be BUSY, BUSY, BUSY.
Right, let's get this day started.
ONWARD...
ABOVE: Well thats one question answered. The chocolates cost me $90!!!
ABOVE: And... it's 1.11 pm and I think I've done it! Not only totally finished the Christmas shopping this morning, but done some grocery shopping too.
AND I've had a lovely seafood salad for me lunch, AND watched some Coronation Street!
What an excellent morning.

8.47 pm: And we are finally home after a long, busy afternoon.
Dinner tonight was a BBQ at the kid's house, followed by birthday cake.
ABOVE: Bex made Dante a Vanilla cake with marshmallow fondant. It was delicious.
And we ate far too much dinner/cake, but it's not going to happen too often.
Time to wind down and just relax for a couple of hours before bed.

Take deep breaths & assume everyone out on the roads & in the malls are going to be complete idiots - that is how I get through December without killing anyone lol. I call it the pre-Christmas fuckwittery which invariably starts 1 December although it seemed to start the weekend before this year.
