OH SHIT

Can I say the dogs did it?

ABOVE:  I didn't MEAN to do it! There was this little bit sticking out, and I ummm.... pulled it.

And then I kinda got carried away.

I was going to wait a year or two before stripping the wallpaper and painting the walls.

Seriously.  It's NOT a job I want to be doing yet.

So why did I do that?  Grrrr.

At least it's the smallest room in the house.  I can do it in the new year I suppose.

Here's a couple of lovely photos Steve took of me and the little boys last night.  Of course, the boys insisted on decorating themselves too:

ABOVE:  Such happy snaps.

Now... back to today.

Sewing again!  Surprise surprise.

OH, and I have an appointment this morning to get my new glasses.  They will be fitted in the shop before I can take them home.

Excited!  No more glasses falling off me face!

Stew's new glasses are here too, but he's not getting his fitted until Saturday.

So anyway that's all for now, I'm off to start my day.

ONWARD...

12 noon:  And I've been out and picked up my new glasses.  It's going to take a little time adjusting to having two pairs, one for distance and one for reading.

But all good.

Sadly, I did something this morning (don't know what) and pulled a muscle in my side and OMG I feel ill.

The constant ache is making me feel sick, so I am gunna have to take a pill and lie down for a while.

So, not doing much right now!

1.49 pm:  *sigh*  Lying down didn't help.  So I'm going to take a stronger pain killer and see if that helps.

Lacy called in after having three appointments in a row.

She's doing REALLY well all things considered.

I'm a very BLACK AND WHITE / RIGHT AND WRONG sort of person.  I don't see grey very much.

And I will always SIDE with the person who is being wronged.  ALWAYS, NO MATTER WHAT.

ABOVE:  This girl has done some dumb arse things in her day, but underneath all that, she's a loving and loyal daughter and mother.

She has always shown her love for Stew and I, and is always there if we need help.  She offers to help before being asked, just like Steve and Bex.

And for that reason, we love her.  No matter what.

And that needed to be said.  We love ya Lacy.

And now... where's that damn pill?

In answer to the question about bifocals.  Both Stew and I had them with our last glasses.

And we hated them.  Whenever I worked at a desk on the computer,  I had to tilt my head back to be able to see the screen properly.  Same with lots of things.

Constantly tilting my head either up or down.  Drove me crazy.  I'd much rather just have two pair and  be done with it.

8 pm:  not much has happened today at all!  I've been an utterly lazy tart.

And I don't care.

I did wraps again for dinner, so quick and easy.  Thanks Steve for prompting me to do it.

Maybe those Chinese Takeaways will happen on the weekend?

Going now.  Not much on the telly till Coronation Street.  I watched a bit of a new quiz programme called '5 Rings'.  Utter rubbish!  Who the hell comes up with that shit?

Hi pulling a muscle shouldnt make you feel that ill...which side is the pain? sometimes kidney stones can feel like that or bowel issues...maybe go to the Dr?

  6. Love your Christmas pic with the boys. what about multi focal glasses? I needed reading glasses when I hit my 40's and then distance glasses in my 50's. I resisted multi focals for years, but got them last year and I love them. It is so great just having one pair of glasses.

I hated getting used to bi focals but it happened eventually, then I had to go to multi focals and that was much easier to adjust to. You have to do what works for you.
Yes Lacy has done some stupid things but she is sorting herself out and like you say is always there when needed

  11. I have been prescribed bifocals twice. I never wore either pair. I don't need glasses for distance (thankfully) so I just wear store bought readers. I have no less than 10 pairs. They are EVERYWHERE. All over the house AND the studio. Having to hold your head just right is incredibly annoying. I agree.
Love everything you said about Lacy.

  12. My pancreatitis started with a pain that I thought was a sore back or something. Fast forward four hours and I was in hospital with a sometimes fatal condition! Of course, I didn't realise that at the time but it's sure made me aware of strange pains now :)

That's a lovely photo of Lacy, I hope she is doing well. I agree about the bifocals, I simply couldn't get the hang of them at all and think they made me way more dangerous driving with them! We just buy the cheap reading glasses and keep them all over the house.

Nice one Lacy hey don't sweat the small stuff only the big stuff πŸ˜‰ I still do stupid things now and again you've got to learn from your mistakes!! You only have one set of parents and you have to cherish every moment and support them as they need it (well that's what I reckon anyways). Those two boys have mischief written all over them how cute 😍 George's Mum.
