BRYLEE WENT SHOPPING

Yesterday Brylee went to where she works and did a little shopping.  It was 'Staff Discount Day'.

I had seen a really neat make up case that I'd like... so I asked her to get me one.

She ended up getting one for herself as well.

ABOVE:  It's a really big case! My small amount of makeup is going to look a bit lost in there.  But I can keep my hair brush, moisturisers etc in it too.

Brylee is using hers for nail polish.  She's a fanatical nail polish collector!  She's constantly painting her freakin' nails.

ABOVE:  From yesterday's Garden walk... ice creams after our walk.

ABOVE:  Just a few of the really pretty flowers in the Gardens. And a bee.

ABOVE: Stew putting my 'attractor' on the new stand.  It works perfectly.

Today I am going to permanently affix the flag fabric to the frameRight now it's just pinned on.

Then I'm going to make Stew an apron.  He's been harping on about needing one for a while now.  😏  So, I better make the bugger one.

And guess what?

That's all I have for now.  I'll be back later.

ONWARD...

Happy days... I've done one big job already this morning.

ABOVE:  lots of lovely girls with me today.  Well... I say lovely...

ABOVE:  Our first cherry tomatoes!  How cute are they.

Right, on to the next job.  The apron.  It's actually one I started a couple of years ago, just never finished it.

So, there's not actually much left to do.

OMG... I am just so damn relieved that I blog EVERYTHING.

It has proved to be invaluable for fact checking.

And in some situations... FACTS MATTER.

And when said FACTS can be backed up by professionals ... even better.

ABOVE: Living my best life.  After raising 8 kids without a break for almost 42 years... I deserve it.  Time for ME & STEW now.  And if that means doing bugger all, then jumping in the pool, so be it.

The day is just gorgeous.  Not too hot, pool just right.

I hope it's still nice for when Stew gets home, cos I'm sure he will enjoy jumping in the pool too.

I'm making meat balls in a Sweet 'n' Sticky sauce, over pasta for dinner.

It should be really yummy.  I'm quite looking forward to it.  Real 'comfort' food.

ABOVE: Gosh since my swim all I've felt like doing is taking a nap!  I didn't sleep that well last night sadly, so am a bit tired.

10.18 pm:  Dinner was definitely as good as I thought it would be.

ABOVE: I used a new simmer sauce, Barker's Sweet and Sticky.  So nice.  I dipped my finger in it just out of the bottle and wasn't impressed, but once it was added to the meat balls and chopped up onion... delicious.
I'll certainly use it again.

Stew did have a walk on the treadmill, followed by a swim before he had his dinner.  Great way to end his day.

And now.  Off to bed.  I'm tired.

  3. What type of Apron is Stew getting? And will the "attractor" be there always, or only when you are "open"?

  5. Good Morning! I was missing in action with my comments over the weekend. Had a night staying in the city with our friends for an early 50th celebration and not did I celebrate.... had way too much to drink but was the best celebration ever! I have pictures on my Instagram (Nicole Fels) if you want to see some of the fun! Not sure if you have Insta? Our weather here today is insane torrential rain and really strong winds (it’s a little scary). Your weekend looked great and the gardens just beautiful 😻

Saw some paint pour Christmas decorations at a Christmas craft display that reminded me of you. They looked so cool! Just standard round babbles dipped.

    1. OMG... f that! That's too damn hot. I'm so, so relieved I'm not in Australia over summer, even though I would be in a heart beat; if it meant my Mum was still alive. I really thought I would still be there, caring for Mum and Ron until next year. I HAVE sat in my dog's paddle pool on many occasions btw! lol
