SOME GOOD NEWS

Yesterday our Prime Minister announced that we will be moving down to Level 3 soon.

This means that Lacy (and Griffin if he wants to), can come home.

Travel between regions is not allowed, BUT:

(copied and pasted) "There's a handful of caveats. If from the outset of the lockdown you were in the "wrong place" and you need to return home, this can be done. The Covid-19 website says, "You can only move once, and in one direction".

Also...

Can I drive there?

People will be able to drive to parks and beaches within their region to go for a walk. You should drive as short a distance as you can - you must stay local.

This means we could drive to Raglan (our nearest beach and still in our region) for a walk on the beach. That will be so awesome!  edit:  seems they just changed the parameters of that.  NOT allowed to travel out of area to go to the beach.  Dammit.

There is not a date for the drop to Level 3 yet. We should hear when sometime next week.

So, that's something to look forward to eh?

I didn't add anything to the tree yesterday, so first thing today I will go out and add an addition.

I've got an idea for a 'different' addition too... it involves Stew making me something. I'm looking forward to showing you... once it's done.

ABOVE:  I finished this cute table runner yesterday afternoon.  There might be another one made today/tomorrow as well.

It was fun, I've not made any like that in quite some time.

Lastly for now...

JUST A FRIENDLY WARNING!

ONWARD...

10.30 am:  Another walk was NOT on my agenda today, but as it was lovely and cloudy and cool... I couldn't resist.

So I dragged Brylee outta bed, we got the girls and off we went.   Coco did my bloody head in, pulling and choking herself for over half the walk... as per usual.
But on a whole  it was a really lovely walk.  It's neat finally getting out and seeing all the different areas around us.

My aim (over the next few years) is to walk every street of Hamilton North.  I love a challenge, even if it will mostly be done on my own.

ABOVE:  Back to walk photos!  lol

Next thing to do is stitch the next addition on the tree.

ABOVE:  DONE.  Now I'm going to have a shower then get me lunch.

4.45 pm:  And I've started preparing dinner.  I THOUGHT it was 5.45 didn't I?  Grrrrr.
A whole hour ahead of myself.

ABOVE:  Here's some fun for you.

If you can guess what's under the towel in Brylee's lap, I will gift you that bird Table Runner that I made yesterday!

Yep.  Give it to ya.  But you have to be 99% correct with your guess.  Steve/Bex/Brylee and Stew ... you can't guess.

Let's see what sort of guesses we get!

You have until midday tomorrow to guess. (NZ time) GOOD LUCK!

Right... it's the end of the day, I'm watching Coronation Street... then off to bed.

  2. Oh I love that cartoon! One of my nighties was actually originally a top that was too long for my liking ... I'm sure the girls at work would get a giggle if they knew I had attended a few online meetings and webinars in my nightie. Can't wait to visit our local beaches again ... we are a 3 minute drive from New Brighton here i Christchurch. Also can't wait to see the new addition to your tree 🙂

  5. Gentle Leader goes on face, stops dogs from pulling. Have used it to teach two pups and it works really well. When I walk them, I still use it, because I walk slowly. When girls or my husband walk dogs, they do not need it, because they are running.

  9. Well my first thought was a cat. But I do not think you like them in the house and normally a cat would not take a bath and be wrapped in a towel.

So now I think it is a bunny! And it is wrapped so it does not go all over her. . .

I was actually going to ask if you were interested in selling the table runner so I guess I will have to join in the competition instead. I’m thinking it’s one of your dogs. I know it doesn’t look big enough but mine curl up into tiny little balls in your lap. Michelle from Oz.
