HOME STRAIGHT!

I think by the end of today we will have done all the major work around this place!

The pool area is totally done, all the new fencing is done, and the guys will most likely get the new lawn and garden sorted today.

I might even get to buy GRASS SEED today?

Here's a few photos:

ABOVE:  some classic 'before' and 'after' photos.

Today the guys will form the new garden that will run down the side of the house.  Then I will have fun getting some new plants for it.

And of course, the grass seed.

My first job for the day will be taking the finished cot quilt down to the post office.

ABOVE:  I am so very happy with it!  It's gorgeous.  Not so much the buffoon who's holding it up for me.  lol

Once I've posted the quilt off,  I will come home and help sort out the new garden, and the garden at the bottom of the to-be-lawn.

ONWARD...

So... Bex and I went and bought flowers!
So many gorgeous flowers for the new garden:

ABOVE:  So they will get planted in the new garden ... once it's cooler tonight.

Anyway, we get home with the plants, and the guys ask me to come outside to discuss the size of the garden, what I want,  bla bla bla.

So I'm telling them what I want, and it doesn't correlate with that they were planning, so Steve said:

"Just go back inside would ya, you will get what the fuck we make".   !!!!  (he didn't mean it unkindly, just being a typical cheeky bugger)

REALLY?  What a shit.  So, seems I'm gunna get whatever they decide to do.

Now I'm going to make club sandwiches for lunch... which will have to be around 1 pm cos they will have to 'set' in the fridge for a little while.

Well, with Bex and Lacy helping, the club sandwiches were made in record time!  It's so neat how those two girls help me so much.

ABOVE:  yet another little video of progress around the place.
Are ya sick of seeing my videos yet?  *smiles*

ABOVE:  Enjoying family time... after all the hard work. Which is pretty much DONE.

Now we all get to enjoy our new home.

9.30 pm:  The new plants are in the garden, grass seed it down (we ran out), and now?  I'm filthy and off to have a shower, before heading off to bed.
Catch ya tomorrow.

  1. Chris, A very special girl I know is having a baby in July, I am wondering how much a quilt like that gorgeous one you have just made would cost and postage to Australia. You can email me if you like.

Turf would be quicker than grass seed?

    1. Yes it would be, but it would also cost HEAPS MORE. So I bought grass seed.

    1. Because the Post Office at the back of Paper Plus (part of the shop), and it's inside the The Base mall... yes it is open. Which is really neat, so handy.
