I am off to market again today... last chance to sell something there.. if it's a 'dud' day again I will know not to go there again eh?
So, fingers crossed it does go well... cos I will be SUPER DUPER PISSED OFF if I SELL NOTHING.
On to happier things..... I got a parcel in the post yesterday... from a lovely friend in America (Linda):
ABOVE: She also made me this cute as 'patch' which I am going to frame somehow and hang on my wall.. cos I love it too!
ABOVE: This is a close up of the design on the laptop bag... AWESOME eh?
THANK YOU SO MUCH LINDA... you are just a Darling!
ONWARD....
I'm home, I'm as hot as hell... it was a blistering hot day I tell ya! How did I go? Well quite a lot better than last weekend that's for sure! BUT... I am not going to become rich overnight .... lol.
Think I will do next sunday's Market too.... then stop till after the school holidays.
Stew and the kids came out at lunchtime... and Stew then went back home to get our big umbrella for me... and left me with the kids. Pffffft... at one point I noticed Griffin was gone... was starting to really worry about where he was... then I spotted him:
ABOVE: he was two stalls down yakking with a woman and playing with her wee dog! He stayed there for a good hour yakking... shit that boy can yak like a girl! But... it was nice cos he kept that woman company and was outta my hair! *smiles*
I am now going to have a semi-cold shower to freshen up... I feel like shit... hot and sticky. Nice.
End of Day: there is nothing like a cold shower to make ya feel human again after a loooooong, hot day! Sat on me butt for the rest of the evening watching mindless TV... it was bliss. nite nite.
Good Luck for the market
ReplyDeleteWow that's so cool lucky you, WE HAD A SELLOUT BBQ fundraiser yesterday rushed off our feet BEST one yet!!! (in fact there were 2 BBQ's going and a raffle) so fingers crossed you go well.
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the market!
ReplyDeleteWOW! what a great gift and oh so cute! Lucky you! Hope you had a great day at Market! ...debbie
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea with the laptop bag and how nice of her!! You could probably incorporate laptop bags into your range of things you make and sell. They would make a great present or souvenier for people to take back home.....light and easy to fit into baggage and something unique!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome, my dear friend. You always put a big smile on my face!
ReplyDeleteI tried So hard to be "sneaky"! I use to tell all of my kids that they were not suppose to lie - EXCEPT - at Christmas ! LOL
Now, how did you do at the market???
You're not wrong about how hot it is today!! It is sweltering out there.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you sell the most of at the markets? Bags, cards or coasters? WOMBAT
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a better time - I would've come and visited again but was SOOOOO very hung over... managed to eat dinner tonight but am ready for bed now!
ReplyDeleteKate
Cute of G to find someone to talk to!
ReplyDeleteI've heard a similar saying before: I love my computer because all my friends live in there" or something like that. It's a nice looking bag! I always intend to make a laptop bag ever time I get a worn out wetsuit. But all I end up with are black mousepads......
ReplyDeleteYay! You at least sold some stuff! I have no doubt when word gets 'round about your stuff business will pick up. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear sales were better for you. Hope they continue to improve. Enjoy your final week before school break.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest daughter is a talker too. She talks to anyone and boy can she talk. Sometimes she even annoys me by talking through the entire movie.
