Suns up, lets hope it's shining on Chris

Morning all. Usual start of day, kids up, feed, dressed etc etc, dog dealt with, kids to school. Quick blogg update, then it's shower for me and off to see Chris for the day. She has already txt me and asked me to bring up the camera, so she must be feeling better.

We have some people coming to look through the house at 3.15 so will come back at about 2 to do a tidy up for that and will give you an update on the patient then.

It's now 1.45 pm and I have been up with Chris. She is a lot better today as she got a good sleep. So got her up and gave her a shower, went for a little walk down the hallway, had a milo and piece of scone, so all in all things are looking up. She is getting some of her bossiness back, cause yesterday when son Steve arrived to see her he had an ipod and she said I want one and when I arrived this morning her first words were "where's my ipod".

So I have just been out and bought said ipod, in pink of course, and will deliver that this afternoon when I go back with the kids at 4. When I finish this post Steve is going to download some songs onto it for her, charge it up etc so she can use it so that will make her happy. She also has TV in her room so she won't miss Coro street tonight, so all's good.

Well have to go for now as I have work to do before the house viewers arrive at 3.15. I'll update later this evening. Bye for now.

Ok its now 6.30 and I'm back from the hospital, Griffins had his haircut and the ipod was very well recieved - the boys have more jobs to load on more songs.

Chris was feeling a lot better this arvo, although still very sore. She had been up for 2 more walks since lunchtime and had eaten a couple of sandwiches that didn't come back up, so that's all good. She even cracked a few smiles and had to hold back laughter when Sandra was telling her a funny story cause it hurts to much to laugh right now. So it is great that she is on the improve but I think she will be in hospital for a few days more which is good as she needs to stay as long as possible to get as much rest & recovery as possible. It has been all rather scary so it will take a while for her to get back anywhere near normal, so making the most of rest now is very important.

Thanks all for your comments and best wishes, Chris has enjoyed getting them. Oh, Coffee Bean, a Milo is a type of hot chocolate drink.

Well that's it for today everyone. I will update again tomorrow. Nite Nite.

I am so glad to hear that Chris is feeling a little bit better! What a nice husband to get her an iPod! I'm sure after all the drama you are more than glad to be bossed around! I have to ask though... what the heck is a milo?

And Chris... you have been in my thoughts and prayers all day! Maybe when you are feeling better we can trade hospital horror stories. Unfortunately... I've got a few of my own. Hey... me thinks you might think a little bit like me on some things... have you felt better enough to wonder how much weight you've lost? He He! Years ago, I broke my back in a jet ski accident and I knew I was getting better when I started wondering about that sort of thing.

So... what sort of music did that Steve of yours download for you?

  19. Good for Chris!! LOL I have only a vague idea what an Ipod is, even. Probably that is for the best or I might want one, too.

Do they know why the surgery went wrong? Would she be ok getting surgery again if she needed, or is this an expected complication every time? I hope she's able to rest now and heal properly. You had me worried for a bit. Many hugs.

PS I'm still mad at that last hospital staff; I can only imagine how upset everyone was. How glad I am you were able to transfer Chris!!!
