Today our 'bonus' daughter turns TWENTY!
OMG how the hell did that happen?
TWENTY years since we took on our first born grandchild. TWENTY years watching you grow from a scrawny, teeny little scrap of a baby into the gorgeous girl you are today.
WE LOVE YOU BRY BRY, STICK-IT... face. πππ
I hope you have a wonderful day with ya Dad, and family tonight.
ABOVE: I managed to nip out yesterday and get this cute top for you. The front has crystals on it. Sorry it's not FIVE SECONDS OF SUMMER!
If I see one I will get it for you, promise.
ABOVE: A very cute section of the garden... clearly Mum's handy work.
Hoping for a good day today... with a few less up's and down's.
ONWARD...
A rough night... but we are slowly coming right.
Lovely day here in Coffs Harbour... not too hot.
ABOVE: Stew took Brylee shopping for her birthday. Three new tops... they are just lovely.
11 am and we have finally got our morning 'jobs' done. Mum and her bed is all fresh and dandy.... set for the day.
My back is managing.... at least for now! Quite sore, but not all the time.
Soon it will be time to think about some lunch. We are having a salad sandwich most days, or cheese and crackers with a bit of ham or mild salami. Mum's not too fussed on the salami!
More for me and Ron π.
ABOVE: Lacy went to Paeroa this morning to pick up Griffin so he can spend today with his Sister. Awww how nice is that?
They are posing in front of the 'Famous' Lemon and Paeroa bottle.
It's a drink peculiar to New Zealand, and Paeroa in particular. It's a light coloured fizzy drink similar to Lemonade.
ABOVE: Dante and Archer, all dressed up ready to go to Brylee's birthday dinner. I wonder where they are going?
Oh and the other pic is of Archer and his favourite 'humans'... the dogs! πππ
Thank You Magpie. It is indeed good news. It means Stew can join me much easier, and see Mum. It will be wonderful!
Well... I have dinner on. We are having chicken kebabs, onion rings and veges. Should be nice.
Well... dinner was OK. Nothing as nice as what the family had tonight. The buggers went to Lone Star... and had the bloody cheek to send me photos of their meals. The shits.
Mum has spent today sleeping, getting over a restless night. Hopefully she will rally tomorrow and give us a hard time again.

Happy Birthday Brylee! the garden is just beautiful...the flowers are lillies...
ReplyDeletePeta
The flowers are amaryllis. They grow from a big bulb but come back every year and multiply.
ReplyDeleteHi. I guess I've been reading your blog for quite some time, because I remember Brylee as a young child! Happy Birthday to her. Also, those flowers look like Amaryllis. They are a favorite here in the states to grow inside at Christmas. They sell the bulbs for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday miss Brylee have an awesome day. Chris hugs
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to be while caring for your mother. I hope she is able to sit outdoors every now and then. And if not, she certainly has large windows to see it all through. I love seeing the picture of you and your mum on the upper right of your blog, what beautiful smiles from two beautiful women. Take care, you are thought of often.
ReplyDeleteHappy 20th Bday to Brylee!!
I am in awe of how beautiful the gardens are! They are like something you would see in an arboretum, or a place you pay admission to see the beauty.
ReplyDeleteHappy 20th Birthday, Brylee!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Brylee!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Brylee! The new tops look lovely on you.
ReplyDeleteNeat photo of Lacy and Griffin too ... that's lovely that Lacy was able to pick Griffin up so he could celebrate Brylee's birthday with her.
The photos of the plants are cool ... so many lovely colours in Australian plants/gardens.

Happy Birthday Brylee! XOXO ~Nicole in CA
ReplyDeleteChris I just read that our prime minister has decided to open the borders from some Australian states to New Zealand from 6th October, so you may not have to quarantine again
ReplyDeleteThat may apply for people coming into Aussy from NZ. I don't know if that holds for anyone entering NZ. I may still have to quarantine on my journey home again... just depends on how long I am here, and what further border restrictions are lifted in the meantime.
DeleteHappy Birthday Brylee! I am pretty sure when I started following your blog B and G were like 9 and 10. Glad that Lacy could go get Griffin to see his sister on her birthday. Brylee, you look great in your new tops. Hope you have a great family dinner. Chris, hope you have a good day.
