CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

Last week I made a start on the Christmas shopping.
And today I go and pick up two key presents... I ordered them last week.  It feels good to be making plans for Christmas.

This year I expect it to just be us here, I'm not planning anything at all really as we don't know what will be happening then.

For a start we should have puppies!  And maybe moving?  Not so sure about that one though.
Time will tell.

Now, last night's dinner, I made a pie I've not made in FOREVER:

ABOVE: Can you tell what sort of pie it was?  It was delicious, and I made two, so we are having the 2nd one for dinner tonight with veges.

Last night after dinner I got the roof on my little house:

ABOVE:  It's stuffed with newspaper right now so it doesn't slump too much.  The paper will come out before it goes in the kiln.  And the roof can be lifted off once it's finished so a candle can be put inside.

I'm fairly happy with it... but I know it's not quite what I had in my mind's eye when I started.  All my clay houses end up looking very similar.  Must be just 'me' and how I do things.

So today, after I've been down to the mall I'm coming home and making a house 'mould' out of cardboard.
I want a specific shape and really need to make the shape in cardboard to mould the clay around.  Then it will be the shape I want.

I want to have a play around with a few shapes acutally... cos I want to make a couple more houses for Christmas gifts.

Oh yeah, I might have to do some freakin' housework at some point too I suppose.

ONWARD...

3.48 pm:  Wow! I totally forgot to update today.
Well... I got my shopping done and am really happy.  I also picked up a pair of black summer tights from Farmers... most of my summer clothes are in storage.  Yep, totally stuffed up doing that.

Once home I did some house work... and bugger all else!

Stew is in Rotorua today ... which means he might be later home tonight.
All I have to do for dinner is put the left over pie in the oven and slowly warm it up and do some veges.  Yaaa.

So that's about it for now.

End of Day:  Well dinner was lovely, AGAIN.  Stew got home at a similar time from Rotorua as he left a bit earlier... so that was good.
I now time dinner for around 7 pm, which is a much better time over summer don't ya think?
Anyway... a nice evening.  Off to bed now.
nite nite

    1. Yeah sure... as long as you are happy to cover the cost of my getting it copied (I don't know how much it will be yet) and postage. There are 6 pages for the pattern, and they are LARGE pages.
