HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMANDA, A HAIRCUT AND COASTERS

Happy Birthday to Amanda.  I hope you have an awesome day.

Griffin after his play in the spa yesterday:

ABOVE: He ran his hands through his hair and made it stand on end... cute, but nah.  He needs a haircut for sure.  Maybe sometime today I will get around to it.

ABOVE:  the first set of 4 Coasters done for 2015.  I wasn't going to do binding to finish them off, but I did in the end, and I'm so glad I did.  They look so lovely.   I've got about 24 more ready to quilt together and bind!

They make such handy little gifts, I want to have a good stash of them ready for when I need a set.

Today we are going over to Onehunga ... just for a wander around Dress Mart.  And maybe the Sewing Machine Shop to see what fabrics/fat quarters/scraps they have.  It's always nice to pop in there once in a while.

Right, going now... catch ya later.

ONWARD...

Well...  Onehunga was quiet, so was St Lukes Mall.  So, after having an early lunch and picking up some paint brushes, we came home.

I'm taking a mid day break before starting to put the undercoat on those cupboards.

It certainly has gone QUIET in blog world now!   I hope whatever you are doing... it's fun.

Well... after taking a break, I had a soak in the spa, waiting for the sun to come out from behind the clouds.  Didn't happen.  It even looks like we might get some rain.  Boo hoo.

I just did this too:

ABOVE:  All the undercoat on this lot of doors.  It's quick drying, so I might even get the first coat of the contrast paint on tonight.
Very exciting.

End of Day: well I didn't get the first coat on the cupboard doors after all.  Kinda wound down after dinner and didn't feel like getting covered in paint again.
nite nite

Rain? You're kidding, Even though we live so close we have had super hot blue all day. Stinking hot actually... another sticky night's sleep. Ugh. Bring on winter (sorta!)

  9. Time in the spa sounds wonderful. We have been having extra cold weather for a while.
Griffin is a very good looking young man and he seems kind of proud of his spiky hair.
