Next thing: My latest GIVEAWAY will be on THURSDAY.... it being my 4th Blogoversary an' all! I'm still thinking what I shall ask you to do to enter... probably leave a comment with something like a question to be answered!
TODAY: I'm heading back to patchwork class... but first I have to pop over to Spotlight and buy a big cutting mat AGAIN. I left my original large
After patchwork.. home for lunch and then??? Dunno! Wait and see I suppose.
ONWARD...
Home again! And hell... only TWO comments today!!!! I'm feeling very alone right now... lol!
*smiles*
I'm flat out re-arranging my sewing room.... I had the sewing machine facing the window... but it's too darn sunshiny bright to work there! My eyes keep watering... so it's so far taken me 2 hours to try and come up with a different layout for the room, bearing in mind it's for my sewing and my card making.
Back to it...
ABOVE: see what I mean by 'wrecked'? Totally fucked... I mean useless.
ABOVE: the super-dooper even bigger, flat as a pancake NEW ONE! Whooop!
ABOVE: a teeny tiny video of the room, now re-arranged. I am going to make a cover for the new cutting mat and keep it off that table in the sun when not in use! I'm not wrecking another one!
Off to start making a cover/carry bag for the new cutting mat....
End of Day: and I've made good progress on the carry bag. Worked on it until bedtime, which is NOW. nite nite.

200 followers, go you! It's amazing how many people like to read day to day stuff.
ReplyDeleteHummm? See - you are so smart about how to deal with things ! I too , have a cutting matt and right out of its box it was warped. I have tried everything to try to convince it to have a change of heart. But it is still warped and as I attempt to cut things out I have to "ride up and down " on those gullies. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your advice on the bibs. Have you considered making any - you did so good on that "duck-adventure" you had! Maybe this would fly too???
O, let me tell you a funny.DH came in this afternoon after working on his tractor all day - he was really pooped. He took a shower and then started saying how much his knees hurt. I happened to remember that his sister gave us some kind of cream for pain. I looked at it and it says it has capsicum in it. Then he heads off to bed and I go wash my hands so I won't get anything on the fabric.
For some reason , not even thinking I scratched my nose and my finger slid up inside my nose a little bit and then - man o man - capsicum is a hot pepper and it set my nostrils on fire! I didn't know whether to laugh of cry ! I can get myself in trouble so easily! : )
Congrats on your new followers !:)
Everyone is probably commented- out from yesterday! I wish I could be a follower but I'm just a surfer! I haven't even got email. Next year we will get a new computer and get into cyberspace big time! I wish I had a room like yours where I can get all crafty and arty farty! I've got tiles, pebbles, paint, fabric etc all stored up, but if I want to make anything I got to drag it all to the dining table. We only got a 3 bedroom house. Sleep in one and the other two are full of my junk! WOMBAT
ReplyDelete*Waves* ... ok, I'm here now ... rushed home from work especially to write this comment (Mmm ... well actually I didn't really - but it sounded good eh? Lol). I hope your day is going well Chris :)

Congrats on 200 followers Chris! Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteI like your new cutting mat. I have a small one and know exactly what you mean about them being expensive. Eek!
Chris, your 10 cards have arrived. That was fast! They are so, so gorgeous!! I appreciate the amount of work and creativity you put into each one. I'm one lucky lady. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteOK that craft area is something to be jealous of. I started to make my laundry room into a craft/utility room but it's just a mess. Man I would sit down and sew in there too! you sure did set the mood right. Chris you always need to talk on your videos because we like to hear your accent.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness girl. At least you get comments! I can have 50 readers today and I'm lucky if I get one comment. :P I always comment when I drop by someone's blog.
ReplyDeleteI have a cutting mat just like your kinky one. Left it in the back seat in the sun one day. Now you can keep yours in your lovely bag when you're not using it. Well done. Sorry I missed a giveaway... grrrr. Congratulations
