216 BUTTONS....

Weird title eh? LOL..... I am going to be using 216 buttons on Brylee's quilt:

See? I am thinking of using these ones... but I might go look at other ones too....

Last night I stayed up until 12.05 in the night finishing stitching all 54 blocks together! Now I have to do the outside edges, the backing and binding... and sew on 216 friggin buttons! I don't make it hard for myself do I?

TODAY: we must go grocery shopping, we are out of so much! At least Stew will be helping... he can do all the packing and lugging into the house! Yaaaa.

ONWARD.....

ABOVE: a sneak peek at the unfinished quilt... but you can get the gist of it.... and I MUST re-paint that ikky green wall ! I'm thinking pale yellow... AND her headboard/tailboard needs to be painted white too...

CAROL: thank you! Not many do 'get' my sense of humour.. often people take me the 'wrong' way and get all offended! Oh well....

CAROLINE: They were only 6 inch blocks .. until I added the white edges, which made them 8 inch blocks... I must admit I love it too! The ikky green wall IS GOING! lol

Late afternoon and we decide to go for a Tiki Tour... to Clark's Beach on the Manukau Harbour.. we had heard it was really nice. Well maybe when the tide's in it's nice... but when we got there the tide was out and it was bloody horrid! And it smelt... really swampy, rotten fish type smelly... ikkkk. Next we went around the corner to another beach which was a bit nicer.. I got some nice photos of the pier-thingee.. .will post them tomorrow. We also drove to Pukekohe (25 mins from home) to see what was there.. it's a good sized town ...

End of Day: a good one again! Stew got the lawns mown inbetween the rain showers, I got lots done too. nite nite.
