MORNING TEA WITH THE GIRLS... I HAVE MISSED IT!

This morning's 'Morning Tea' will be the first NORMAL thing I have done in over 3 weeks! I can't wait .... for me latte and yak with the girls.....
AND I have a yearning for some retail thereapy too.... wonder if Stew will oblige me? Or for that matter, if my body will ? Suppose I will have to wait and see.

Son Steve has packed a wobbly with me and buggered off for the weekend... nice one son. Just run away from an argument... it will get you NOWHERE. Friggin kids.

later.....

Well I have had a very busy morning... met the girls and had a right gas-bag... it was so neat to be out and about like normal. Then I bought me some cute new knickers! Well I NEED them! So what if they cost an arm and a leg... it's going to be so nice to be able to wear pretty knickers without worrying about ruining them every month!

See? Pretty.....

After that I met up with Stew and the kids and they had lunch at a foodcourt.... I didn't feel like anything but a drink. Then they dropped me home and went back into town to get Griffin new shoes (AGAIN)... shit that boys goes through shoes ever 2 months!

I have heard from pain in the arse son (Steve) ... maybe he doesn't hate me afterall? *SIGH*

My beloved laptop is packing a wobbly as well.. so it will have to go into the repair shop on monday.... in the meantime I at least have the old one to use. I would be lost without me computer!

Pack a wobbly = pack a sad, have a hissy fit, pack a shitty, blow a gasket, have a temper tantrum, etc!

Well once again I paid for it for kinda overdoing it... spent most of the afternoon on me lounge chair feeling exhausted! Had a lovely visit from Janene and her Mum... her Mum just LOVED Teddy, now she wants another wee dog too. He IS gorgeous ... so how could she resisit?

I tried on all me new knickers, they are lovely! Makes ya feel good to wear pretty knickers I reckon.

End of Day: all in all a good day has been had. Stew cooked devine pork steaks for dinner... I'm stuffed!

NSV: the weight is holding off... even with no exercise. This is good. nite nite.

Packed a wobbly... is that akin to the time you said your other son packed you a shitty?

Oh my gosh, I love the way you say stuff! The stuff I say is so boring.

Hey, the other night we watched an episode of Ghost Hunters. It is an American show where they go investigate places that are thought to be haunted. They went to Larnach Castle in NZ. I think that is what it was called... anyway, have ya ever been there? I think next week's episode is somewhere in New Zealand again. I love LOVE love the accents!

  4. OK, the only reference I could find online about packing a wobbly was some naked little baby boy with the description of "packing my wobbly because today ends in the letter Y."

Here, "wobbly" means "wiggly and unstable." As in, I am wobbly when I ride a bicycle.

  6. I have been educating the Americans around me, on how to speak proper English. They now say stuff like 'wobbly' and 'Give me a ring' and so on. So I am unboring my little piece of America!!

    Love the knickers :-)

  7. BTW. the program that 'coffee bean' was talking about, was on Larnach Castle, down in Dunedin. By the looks of it, next week it going to be the theatre in Courtney Place in Wellington. I did a stint as an usher there and there were all sorts of tales about ghosts.

  8. Love your new knickers :) Yep will catch up real soon. :) Make the most of it while 'the man' is still home. Had to laugh at the other side of the world not understanding "a wobbly". I could throw a good one too!!!!!!

  10. Isn't it amazing how you miss the simple things when you're out of routine! Glad you enjoyed your morning catch up - was probably a little calmer than mine but then you didn't have the pleasure of 7 kids under the age of 4!

Oh, love the knickers - I think you deserve at least that after all you've been through lately.

Thanks for stopping by World of Weasels. Glad to hear that your recovery is coming along. Those are pretty knickers. Speaking from experience, it's glorious to never have to worry about ruining them again. You will be so happy to be finished with that stage of your life. Block Party here in the States is an outside party with your neighbors. No cars on the street that day. Kids run and play, everyone brings a dish to share, grill lunch and dinner outside. Lots of beer, fun and friends.

I think having pretty, flirty or sexy knickers on that no one else will see does something and makes you feel sexy too.

  15. Sounds like you had a good day! The new "knickers" are great! I am actually a bit jealous. I am sure Stew is liking them also!

Thank you for explaining "packing a wobbly." I was pondering its meaning while reading. I am happy to say that I pretty much came up with the right meaning after reading about your laptop. Do Americans say things that YOU don't understand?
