ALRIGHTY THEN... LOOK OUT YA POOR BUGGERS!

I'M BACK!...

I'm so happy to be home, safe and sound at last! A million "THANK YOU'S" to each and every one of you who text'd, phoned, commented, visited, sent flowers, baked cookies, gave gifts or in any way sent me and Stew your best wishes over this week from hell.

I am very very grateful to be alive, it would seem I tried a good couple of times to leave ya all....but it wasn't my time obviously.
A RECAP:
Friday - southern Cross Hospital, operation via vagina to remove uterus, anterior and posterior repair of fanny (thank you big babies)! I GET A NEW FANNY!!!! YEEEEE HAAAA.
Friday night after first operation: hemmorage, ambulance to Public Hospital for emergency operation through incision in tummy ... 2 hours later bleeding stopped. Transfer to Intensive Care Unit .
Saturday: Spent in Intensive Care Unit, then transfer to Ward 27...
Sunday and Monday: dismal care in Ward 27... transfer back to Southern Cross Hospital via my girlfriend Chris's car cos the nurses WOULD NOT GET AN AMBULANCE!. Told by many many Health Professionals to lodge an Official Complaint about the nursing (OR rather lack of) care in Ward 27. Will do this once I settle down.
Tuesday & Wednesday: Southern Cross Hospital.... excellent care!
Thursday: anticipated return home NO... got a pulmonary embolism (blood clot on right lung-very painful) .... ambulance trip BACK to Public Hospital ... CT Scan to confirm blood clot.... fuck that dye injection hurts!...day spent in Emergency Department, then transfer to Ward 26.... TOTALLY fantastic Ward, nurses so very lovely and caring. NO concerns staying there at all.
Friday: Put on new drug to stop blood clots forming, in new World Wide Study of this new drug, under the care of Heamatologists at Public Hospital... feel rather SPECIAL. LOL Then.....HOME at last!
Have to see Surgeon in 4 weeks to make sure new fanny is all good... and to get a referral to the Heamatologist to find out WHY I bleed so much.....
At the moment I am on blood thinners so I don't clot... yet I bleed and they have to find a way to make me CLOT ????? Derrrrr.
RIGHT, here's a couple of photos to keep ya going:

ABOVE: ME in intensvie care. Not my best shots.
My new belly scar..... bastards have ruined any chance of a bikini now! Yet, I don't mind, I am ALIVE!!!
Me and Brylee in Ward 26 on Thursday night.
I feel like the luckiest woman alive (by the way) to have such a FANTASTIC AND loving husband in Stew.... he is my EVERYTHING. Thank you Darling for taking such good care of me, the children, the dog, the house and even my BLOODY BLOG! AND... just for you Darling... I HAVE A WONDERFUL NEW FANNY..... can't wait to show ya! Even I havn't looked yet though.... too sore....
THAT WILL BE A WHOLE NEW POST!!!! BUT NO PHOTOS!!!
That is me for this day:
End of Day: It's been an eventful week.
NSV: I gained 6 kilos of fluid in the first 4 days, have now lost it all....WAITING to see if the lack of food over the week makes me have a 'real' loss soon. NITE NITE.

  22. Wow, Chris, you're doing great! I've still gained 5 pounds from my surgery. My tummy pic is way uglier than yours because I get "keloid" scars... you know the big lumpy ones?

Yep, Stew is a dandy of a husband to keep the house and blog going AND look after you. Good job!

  31. You sure went through a lot. I can't believe they wouldn't call you an ambulance. Here in the states, they'll call you want because they want to get sue for a zillion dollars if something bad happens.

  32. I know I am behind the times - but I am so glad you are ok. I guess it is one of those instances where if someone says "If it doesn't kill you, it will make you stronger." you want to punch them dead in the nose.
