HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

Yesterday I finished yet another Red/Green Braid Runner.

It took me all day, cos I dithered around with rearranging the sewing room, then I went out to post a runner to Wellington.

It was a busy, hot day.

Today is probably going to be the same, minus the posting a runner off somewhere.

ABOVE: This is the latest runner... they are all starting to look the same to me.
This one is extra long, and will suit a large dining table.
I wonder how long it will last at market?

Market... our next market is this Saturday, it's the Tamahere Twilight Market, 4 - 8 pm.
I'm going to enjoy it very much cos it means no super early start to the day.  BLISS.

Today I am going to finish off a runner I started last week, a Blue/Teal one.

This evening I am heading off to Cambridge to a Christmas 'do' held by some friends I've made through the FBG's and Card Night.  So that's going to be nice.

Sorry about that!  I forgot to hit 'PUBLISH' this morning.
Thanks for the heads up Sandra. 😊

Scrap what I said I'd be doing today too.
I have been doing other shit around the house.
More about that later.

ABOVE: The first thing on my 'hit' list today, take down the scary fish painting...

ABOVE:  And replace it with two more subdued paintings.

ABOVE:  Next, take down all the hearts.

ABOVE: Then fill in all the little holes, and get it ready for painting.  That entire wall needs painting.
Once it's done, one of our lovely cow paintings will go there.

I'm juggling a few painting around to better suit their situation.  And some are just coming down cos they clutter up the walls.

ABOVE:  Ditto in the hallway, down came all the paintings, and I filled in those holes as well.  I should be able to just spot paint those walls.

I'm rather happy I decided to do this, as it's one less job before we move.

After doing that, I went to Mitre 10 for sandpaper and fresh paint rollers.   That will be tomorrow's job, sanding and painting.

Now that I'm home, I'm taking half an hour 'off', before heading into the sewing room.

*snort*... when do I ever do what I plan?  Not that often me thinks.
I've just finished sanding those walls.  And it's STINKING HOT and muggy and now I need another shower before I go out to play ladies.

ABOVE:. 3.44 pm.... I'm finally in the sewing room!  I'll work on this runner for an hour or so before jumping in the shower.

ABOVE:  And there's today's runner done and dusted.  Now.... time to get ready for this evening.

ABOVE: All ready.... about to leave in half an hour.
Stew should be home before I leave...

Thank goodness you’re here!! I’m an early riser, 5.15 Aus time, and log on to DCR with a very strong black coffee. No DCR!!! Had a minor panic, but happy now to see it was the blog posters error. Phew! Marie, Melbourne

I would not have thought to take all that down, but it looks better from a buyers viewpoint. So very good job.

I'm surprised your last agent didn't suggest that most, if not all, paintings and wall hangings, hearts, etc s/b removed so a potential buyer can see blank walls. I thought that was a given. But maybe not in New Zealand. Glad all of the work is almost done. You are a very active person who doesn't let moss grow up under you. Keep up the good work! Ky Girl

I missed my 5 am read of Chris this morning as well

I would much rather look at a cluttered house than a sterile house.
No I don’t think your house is cluttered at all Chris

  9. Good choices, for staging type purposes. The house looks great. Love the rare "hair down". Nice runners too!
