It's going to be a busy week I reckon, which is good.
Today for a start, I'm going to the supermarket to start getting Christmas food... the non perishable stuff.
I'm still going to keep our Christmas dinner minimal, but there will be a few of the more traditional things.
On a platter! Yep, a platter lunch this year.
I whipped up a new runner yesterday afternoon (not yet quilted or bound).
It was supposed to be a new version of a Bee Runner, but as Stew said, it is too busy to add a big bee.
ABOVE: It hasn't come out how I envisioned it. Just too old fashioned I think. It might appeal to someone older? But yeah, I don't think I will be making any more like it. What do you think?
I will revert back to how I have done Bee Braid Runners before, thank you very much.
Shame I cut out quite a few of those colourful strips. πππ
It's supposed to rain today, yaaa. I'm already feeling the heat, and summer is only just starting.
Wait for the bitching and moaning about being too hot... in 10, 9, 8, ... lol.
12.34 pm, and I've done the grocery shopping. Spent way more than I expected, but hey, it's not like you buy all that extra stuff all the time eh?
We just trade what we complain about I'm cold when you're hot lol
ReplyDeleteBut daggy for my liking Chris, and purple is my least liked colour. How’s that for negativity πMarie, Melbourne (with that, I’m off to the gym)
ReplyDelete(Bit, not but)
ReplyDeleteYeh that one has a country/cottage/farmhouse vibe
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the heat. I fecking HATE it.
ReplyDeleteThat runner screams spring/summer to me. I like it
ReplyDeleteDee
I really like it... i guess that makes me an old lady π€£π€£
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of pastels/spring/Easter in a good way. I can see that someone will want it.
ReplyDeleteVickie
I love that runner so much
ReplyDeleteIt's been in 30 here for most last 2 weeks so I've been grumble about it for ages but do try and keep it to a minimal haha who am I kidding...feel for the fire crews fighting fires in the heat and against the winds. Mother nature sure has a mean streak. Thank God for air con.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous. Lovely, bright, warm colours. I reckon they'll be popular a lot of families , ask Bex and Brylee. I love it and I'm old. Hmm where else could I put one??? Lol
ReplyDeleteIt’s retro. The young ones will love that runner.
ReplyDeleteYou deserve a break Chris. Make sure you take 3 weeks off when Stew is home and pamper yourself. Read a book, swim and do stuff for you. Lol and Stew!! Kj
ReplyDeleteI think the new runner is very pretty.I'm sure it will get snapped up quickly at a market. I hope you're feeling better soon ... take care of yourself π·
ReplyDeleteI think you need a little bit of self care! Take some time to do something special for yourself xx
ReplyDeleteI agree with Stew, too busy for a bee π and that flowery fabric does make it look sort of old fashioned. Bring back the bees!
ReplyDeleteThat damn heat! I feel for you. On the other hand we have cold and damp. Not good either. Jump in your pool.
Gnocci with "stuff" on the top? Haha. What kind of stuff?
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, I think that runner is pretty. And having an assortment is good because when there is variety they will find a favorite!
