MOSAIC CHRISTMAS LUNCH

ABOVE:  I went back into the sewing room late yesterday to put a runner away.
And dammit!
Knocked over that spool holder.
NOT the first time I've done that.
They are STILL all over the floor.
That's a job for later on today.
I didn't feel like fixing it yesterday.
AND I am going to find somewhere to put that holder that means I don't knock the bloody thing over again.  πŸ˜–πŸ˜•πŸ˜“

First up for today, I'm going over to Cambridge for an FBG Social Walk at 9 am.  To be followed by morning tea with them.
THEN, I head into town (Cambridge), to have a Christmas Lunch with the Mosaic group.

I am really looking forward to both 'events'.

After that, I'll be coming home to either blob out... or do some sewing.  Whichever I feel like at the time.
Catch ya later.

ABOVE:  A big group of FBG'ers today.  OMGosh... it's so hot today.
I was getting seriously overheated by the end of today's walk. But I did it, and enjoyed the chatter during and after.

I am now at the Cafe awaiting the Mosaic ladies. At least it's cooler inside.

Lunch:  The company was nice.  The meal?  VERY AVERAGE/Borderline POOR, not doing that particular dish again.
When I arrived home I had some jelly beans, that cheered me up.

ABOVE: Before leaving Cambridge, I stopped in at the Town Hall to look at the Christmas Festival.

ABOVE: There were some lovely trees and decorations to look at, but I felt like it was considerably smaller than previous years.

ABOVE: I bought this little cutie. Name beginning with an R ... to be decided.

ABOVE: Just in, today's walk photo.  We were on a little bridge over a 'gully'... somebody was concerned about our combined weight...  the bridge seemed to be swaying?  It wasn't, just wobbling a little. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜‰

It's now 2.14 pm, and I'm just gunna chill out for a while.

TRACY:  I already have 33 Xmas Friends, today's one makes 34.  And they all have names starting with an R.  But I don't have a Reece, so Reece it is! Thanks.  😊

MARIE:  It was a Seafood Basket.  Which consisted of (I kid you not):

Half a filet of Snapper.
2 Scallops.
2 Prawns.
12 hot chips, 3 which were over cooked and I didn't eat.
A lettuce leaf, shredded.
A teaspoon full of grated carrot.
Half a slice of Tomato.
Half a slice of Cucumber.
1 Tablespoon of Tartare Sauce.

It was tasteless, miserable and a total waste of $29 !  I was bitterly disappointed.

It's been a busy afternoon/evening.  I got another runner top done.  Our new Estate Agent came around and put up two small, temporary signs.  They will be replaced by a bigger billboard in a few days time.
Stew arrived home, and I cooked us some dinner.
Then we watched some TV for a while.
Now... bedtime soon.

Thread rack - I have three of them, all attached to the wall, in a row, up high, out of the way above one of my tables.

    1. Mine were on the wall, but I took them down in my de-clutter.

  5. It's interesting that taking the house off the market for a bit and relisting it would be seen as "needed repairs". I was wondering about that. I thought it would weed out todays uninterested buyers, and a brand new group of buyers would be looking in a couple of months.

As it heats up at your house, it's freezing at mine. It always happens at the exact same time. That always fascinates me for some reason. Today we had wet, heavy snow, that is so heavy it's actually bending trees over. Which is also causing power outages. But we are warm and dry inside - so all is well!

    1. LOL, we already have a Randy... but not a Reece, so Reece he is. He is our 34th Xmas Friend who's name begins with an R.

Leaving me hanging Chris, what was the meal you ordered that was very ordinary. Marie, Melbourne

Wonder if the seafood was frozen Chris. I am a massive fan of FRESH NZ seafood. Nothing like it in the world. And that sounds pretty miserly. Marie, Melbourne

Geez that sounds miserable for a seafood meal. No stars from me. Love your Reece. I'd love to get out and build my family too. One day. Kj
