SECOND TO LAST FOR THE YEAR

Today we have an Open Home in the afternoon.  It will be the second to last one of the year.

I can hardly wait to have a break from them.

There is very little to do in preparation for this Open Home, I did it all yesterday.

The lawns are growing like mad, maybe Stew can go over them again?

I really don't have much else to yabber on about right now.

This morning I'll probably do a bit of work in the sewing room, make a start...NAH SCRAP THAT!

I don't want to mess up the damn room!

It can wait until Monday.

ABOVE: Saw both of these last night on Facebook.  Like them both enough to share on here.

And that's it for now.

Catch ya later.

Because I had bugger all to do for prep today, I decided to bath Coco, she was particularly smelly.
I set up a table out the back door, put a really big plastic container on it, filled it with warm water and off we went.
That worked SO WELL!  No bending over involved at all, my back was not ruined by the end of it.
And I was not left with an ikky wet dog smell in the bathroom.

That would not have been ideal with an Open Home later on today.
She's now drying off in the garage, not allowed inside the house, poor girl.

Stew did his grocery shopping, and now I'm sending him outside to just titivate the yard a bit.  Again, not much to do out there either.

We will go out for lunch, so we don't mess up the kitchen.  😊  It's such a good excuse to go out!

ABOVE: Lunch today was at our new favourite midday eatery, FERGUS Bar and Kitchen in Rototuna.   We shared Calamari and Prawns, and Won Tons.  Stew got most of the Won Tons, I didn't like them much.
On a whole, very nice though.

ABOVE: Today's Open Home was AMAZING!  We had more people turn up to view our home than we've ever had before.  Even our new Real Estate Agent was surprised at how many came.  They were lining up the street easily 15 minutes before the Open Home started!  So surprising.  So GOOD!
The people who had the Private Viewing yesterday came back as well, so still looking very promising there.

I am so relieved.  And happy that it wasn't for nothing, changing agencies.

I went out this morning and bought some new linen for a couple of the bedrooms.  I felt like all the bedrooms had Salmon Pink in them, so I mixed it up.
Spotlight were having a big sale on linen, so I didn't even have to spend much to get the desired looks.

ABOVE: The little bedroom.  Strangely, the bedspread and pillowcases are a lightish green, but in the photo seem blue.
I had the dark blue polar fleece fabric already, so just draped it over the end.  Works for me.

ABOVE: Then the front bedroom now has a blue comforter on the end, and matching pillowcases. I love how this one looks now.

Stew is about to jump in the pool for the first time this year.  If he doesn't freeze, I'll join him I think.

ABOVE:  Well he got in and immediately said "Whooooo!"... it is quite cold still.  So I shall give it a miss for a bit longer thanks.  πŸ˜πŸ˜–

Right, time to relax.  And do it all again tomorrow.
Though our agent said it will probably be much quieter tomorrow.

9.28 pm:  And that's a wrap on today.  We have just been watching TV ... and soon we will bugger off to bed.
Hoping tomorrow is another good day.

Makes you wonder how the previous agent was marketing your home after the turnout today. Have they even given the key back? Piss poor if you ask me! I be you are so glad you changed agencies!! ❤️

    1. EXACTLY! Yes, I did get the house key back, but not on the day she said she would return it.

What actually was the difference in marketing do you think?

Is this a more popular firm? More followers? Advertised differently?

Assuming you listed at a slightly lower/different price, you may have been in more people’s range, under more price ceilings - ?

  9. A fantastic turnout for the showing. You're bound to start seeing offers. You did a very big job staging each room.
