MERRY CHRISTMAS

Rise and Shine, it's Christmas Day.

We are expecting a revolving door today, with family coming and going at various times of the day.

It should be a lovely day.

Lots of love, good food and just being happy.

I hope wherever you are, you are surrounded by friends and family.

If you are travelling, stay safe, be vigilant, don't drink and drive, look after yourself, your family, your friends, and others.

Take extra care around water, don't get complacent, don't take risks. Watch your youngsters.  Water does not say sorry.

Catch ya later.

Tis the dawn of our 5TH and FINAL Christmas here in what we thought would be our forever home.

ABOVE:  And I don't think, even in his wildest imagination, Stew thought the first thing he would be doing on Christmas morning was digging for ... worms!
Baby has eaten all the meal worms I bought, and several muscles.  I even gave him cooked chicken this morning!
Stew again found only ONE worm.

CALLING ALL FAMILY... dig for worms please!!!

ABOVE: The boys came over with their new gaming bean bags.

ABOVE: Steve and Bex gave us a battery powered lamp... it can also charge our phones!
It will be perfect for very early, dark mornings at markets.

ABOVE: Lily's first doll.  I think it looks creepy.

ABOVE: Our new lamp.  It's super bright, but can be dimmed down a couple of times.

ABOVE:  a SUPER determined Lily, wanting to get to the flowers.  She does not take no for an answer.

ABOVE: Lacy was so confused.  She thought I'd bought her an iron!
Yeah nah.  I just used the box to hold things.

ABOVE:  Lily LOVED her water tower present... but not really.  It was the box she loved the most.  She spent the majority of the day pushing it around, or climbing on top of it.

ABOVE:  It didn't take her long to realise she could use it to climb onto the coffee table!
Such a clever wee bubba.

ABOVE: Passed out after a full on morning.

ABOVE:  I kept lunch fairly simple today, no one wanted me to bust a gut.

ABOVE: She had a two hour nap!

ABOVE: Another highlight of our day was getting to do a video call with our Grandchildren, Sienna and Bodhi in Perth, Australia.
Their mum, Tess, very kindly let us watch the kids opening their presents.
That was just so neat.

It is now 3.15 pm, and everyone has left and we are going to have a quiet afternoon.

BABY bird is doing well... very demanding little bugger though.  I am going to buy some cat food tomorrow, thanks for the suggestion.

ABOVE:  Our last visitor (I think) of the day, Griffin.  He came over from Tauranga for a quick visit, which was so nice of him.

ABOVE: Modelling his new shirt, it's one I particularly love.
I got Stew one like it a couple of years ago.

ABOVE:  Lacy saved the day... she had some pouches of Kitten food.  I just fed Baby some, and it went down just fine.
So I can stop worrying about what to feed him now.  And we can stop digging up our lawn and gardens!

I do believe I'm done for the day... it's been long, but wonderful to see so many of our family.

Catch ya tomorrow.

  5. Wishing you a very merry Xmas. May you enjoy the company of all your loved ones, good food and drink and a peace of mind. Our Xmas eve is just ending and I hear the Bay of Plenty is waking to a beautiful warm day. I hope it's the same in the Waikato.
