ANOTHER DAY OF SEWING AHEAD

Feeling good today, after the stress of the past few days.

It's great knowing that we now have a clear plan for moving forward with our house sale.

New Agency coming next week!  Fresh start.

We are taking a little break from Open Homes for the next few weeks too.

Now... on to another topic.

CHRISTMAS!   I'm really getting into the spirit of it.

I've fished out more decorations.

ABOVE: While I'm NOT getting out our bigger tree, I did decide to add some decorations to the little one.  It was not looking festive enough.

It looks much nicer now.

ABOVE: The girls watching me, wondering what the hell I was doing with that big box of decorations?

Coco had been enjoying lying under the tree, she sadly can't now.

ABOVE: Some festive shit on the windowsill.

ABOVE: Same with this lot.

And that's about all I plan on putting out, can't have too much clutter while trying to sell one's house eh?

ABOVE: This is the runner I finished late yesterday.  It was the second one of the day.

Today I'm aiming for one more Red/Green combo, then I have another Blue/Teal one to finish.

So, no lazing around for me.

*** The above runner is already sold. ***  It never got to go to market.  😂

11.15 am.
The day has been not quite as I planned.
I started making another Red/Green runner... half way through I JUST HAD TO REARRANGE the sewing room!

WHY????    Why do I do these crazy things?
It's not like I'm going to be in this space in the future, it didn't NEED to be done.

But, I get these ideas in my head and I just can't let it go.

ABOVE:  I decided the glass top office desk needed to go.  And the bar leaner (? wtf?) could go in that corner with the computer on it instead.
?????

So, TWO HOURS later...

ABOVE:  Massive upheaval in progress...

ABOVE:  Done.  Now the guys have to take that office desk apart and store it.
Sorry guys.

ABOVE: And all that got done so I could have my 'work station' functioning better for me.
And it does.

When we move, I will know EXACTLY how everything needs to be positioned to work well.

LIKE... until I change my mind again.
Fuck I do my own head in so often!

And now I'm going to do a bit more sewing before I stop for lunch.

No open houses for a while sounds good, just let the agent bring any very interested clients for a viewing. No lookysee nosy people. Gigi

I found the volume of open houses (were yours weekly?) interesting.

Here, houses for sale just have a couple open houses (ever). The rest of the showings are by appointment. I suppose there are pros and cons, either way, clearly have to stay tidy.

I was just in a house that is going on the market in a few weeks and it is stacked. Way too much stuff in the house and garage, very cluttered garden.

I said nothing. Not my business. They did not ask what I thought.

My private opinion is they will have to get a storage unit and empty 75% of their stuff. It will be interesting how a realtor deals with them.

I was thinking of your house as I walked thru theirs. You have done such a good job prepping.

I was thinking about this further.

Most of the houses in my neighborhood, never have an open house at all.

Private viewing only. And people have to have pre approved financials to get a viewing appointment.

So they have to be serious and working with realtor (or cash buyer) to get in a house at all.

  4. The red and green runner is gorgeous. Hopefully the new agent does wonders! So hot here today, summer had kicked in with a vengeance. You would hate it 🤣
