2022

2020 - Covid 19.

         - Lockdowns.  Quarantine.  Isolation.

         - Mum died.

         - Start of legal troubles.

2021 - Legal/Court battles.

         - Stress, worry, shit.

         - DELTA

2022 - OMICROM

         -  MORE STRESS and WORRY.

Why do we look forward to a 'New Year'?

Well... the only thing you can do is hope this is a better year.

We have had two years of living with Covid, so what's another one eh?

ABOVE :  these two darlings arrived last night.  So, so happy to see them again.

We spent a good deal of time yakking last night, just love spending time with them.

ABOVE:  The kids found these 'that's so Mum' gifts for me earlier in the year in Picton, when they were on holiday.  They know me rather well eh?

So, not sure what everyone is doing today.

I think Stew and I will stay home and just be a base for visitors to come and go, swimming and just spending time with family.

1.25 pm:  I have been in the garage all morning, sorting through all Mrs C's stuff.
Bex and Joyce helped me, and I can't quite believe it, but we have actually finished the sorting!

ABOVE: We found some real treasure fabric!

ABOVE: The washing and drying has started...

ABOVE: There's just this pile to wash, dry, iron, fold and put away.

ABOVE:  We have a HUGE pile to donate to others.
I'm hoping that Amanda can take some of it to her Op Shops.

ABOVE:  Steve and Mike are playing Magic.  The girls are just sitting there watching! lol

ABOVE:  My fabrics have been given a massive tidy up thanks to the girls helping me!
We had done SO MUCH today, it's mind boggling.

It's now 3.30 pm and everyone is knackered.  Or just too hot to move.  Some had been swimming, and if I actually had the energy I'd be in the pool too.

Maybe soon?  Once I've relaxed for 5 minutes.

Well I had a swim, then got dinner on.
Emily and Liam got dropped off, so we gave them their Christmas presents.

Then all the kids had a swim before dinner.

ABOVE:  She LOVES her new socks!  They are so  damn funky and fun.
Hers have wings on the back!

ABOVE:  Apparently I'm 'THE BEST GRANDMA'.

I'll take that.

Dinner tonight was Teriyaki Chicken over savoury rice and veges.  We had 8 adults and 5 kids to feed.   For once there are no left overs!

Now... time to wind down and just freakin' well relax!

9.58 am:  And it's nearly time to go to bed.  Nice and early tonight, we are both bloody tired.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow.  If it's as productive as today it will be a good one.

Happy New Year to you both and the family. It's beautiful here in Hawkes Bay. The kids have gone out but I wanted to stay home and try handspring on some more hexagons. Got some clip on magnifying things yesterday so hoping I can see better. Kj

Hope all that fabric doesn't get too tangled up, the bad part of washing fabric!
