TIRAU TODAY

This morning we are going over to Tirau, to one of our favourite shops.

The Interiors Barn.  We are on the hunt for a new coffee table.  Not too big, but slightly bigger than the coffee table nest we are giving to Lacy.

ABOVE:  I'd like something like this, but smaller.

On wheels.  I have a thing for things on wheels!  Just ask Stew.

After having a wander around the Tirau shops, we will have lunch there, before coming home again.

If we don't find what we are looking for in Tirau, I'm sure we will eventually.  No rush.

So... catch ya later.

PHOTO BOMB COMING...... after lunch. 😊🤣😅

ABOVE: This sign at the front of the shop.  Who was I to argue?

ABOVE:  OMG... loved this huge scale... but left it there.  No room for it.

ABOVE: They must have got new stock in since we were last here.  It was amazing.
We could have spent SOOoooo much money in here.
But we restrained ourselves and only bought a coffee table.

ABOVE: It JUST fitted in our car!

ABOVE:  Happy girls, squished in the back seat.

ABOVE:  My poor long suffering husband!

ABOVE:  The new coffee table!   I saw it within a couple of minutes of arriving in the shop... OURS!
Lucky really, as it had another coffee table on top of it, and all sorts of ornaments too.  But, I spied it and could see it was just perfect for our family room.

ABOVE:  LOVE IT!
What do you think?

ANON:  Go and sit in the Naughty Corner.  You are not nice are you?

9.11 pm:  Well... it's been an awesome day.  We had lunch at The Base, did some shopping and then came home again.
Steve, Bex and the boys visited in the afternoon, so the kids had fun together.

Keera got to have a Bubble 'Box' again, which she absolutely loved.  (Bubble Bath in a big plastic box)

It's now getting on in the evening, and we are just relaxing till bedtime.

  2. I hope you're enjoying your outing and that you find what you are after. I think things on wheels are great - as long as they have those little switches on the wheels that mean you can apply brakes to the item when/if needed. 😊

  3. Very cool... loving the living ornaments it came with 🤣🥰

You need a "Glow up" Chris. Your an attractive older lady but God dam you dress so scruffy. I can't believe you went out in public in a hoodie, leggings and sneakers. You can still buy comfortable, warm clothes that aren't so frumpy.

    3. Haha... too funny. Not sure where Anon is from but it's pretty common to dress that way here in New Zealand, especially when the weather is like it is today. God help me, I went shopping the other day in black legging pants and my black zip exercise top. The sky didn't fall in and no one even looked at me :)

FFS Anon, Chris dressed perfectly for a woman shopping in NZ and looks gorgeous in that pink top. Don't know who you are but she is not an "older lady". Get off your high horse and stop putting people down.

    7. What the hell Anon? Your comment is absolutely laughable. I love to dress up and I also love looking like I just fell out of bed at times. How old are you to say something like that. She looks perfectly fine and I am sure today was dressed for comfort and warmth, she is going shopping??? I’m sure you are behind a laptop looking like a gremlin…. Send us a pic so we can judge how glowed up you are :)

    8. My ❤️ Comment was for Steve’s comment but it doesn’t look like it now 😂
Anon is an idiot but we can’t judge them because they are anon 🤷‍♀️

    9. Ummm - Anon, you are an idiot. Firstly, how anyone dresses is none of your business, secondly it is “you’re” not “ your”. I was not aware there was a dress code for furniture shopping 😂

  20. Well, Anon. I too made the dastardly mistake of buying a couch while wearing leggings. I did not realize the error of my ways. Could you please provide a dress code for such things so we will know better next time? My main concerns are furniture stores, grocery stores, and outdoor concerts. Which attire is most suitable for those things? Don't forget the appropriate accessories. I think I wore stud earrings. Would dangles have been better for the couch purchase? Please advise. Or... bugger off and leave this blog alone! I hope you need Bunion Surgery real soon.

Love the coffee table, and you looked warm and comfortable today Chris! you’re definitely not old and frumpy! lol at Steve’s comment. I bet you have a fair idea who is being so nasty and immature! i wish they would leave you all alone! i’d say jealousy is eating them up because you’re all so close and a lovely family.
