Last night I had a brilliant idea!

Well... I thought it was anyway.

Keera wanted a bath.

We don't have a bath.  We have two showers.

But... hmmmm.

I thought of this:

ABOVE:  How about a big plastic box?  With bubble bath of course.  πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

ABOVE:  I'm happy to say our kid loved it, I had a hard time getting her out of it.

She got very good at frothing up the bubbles again, when they started to disappear.

ABOVE:  She was thrilled to find rose petals in her 'bath' too.  She went to bed a very happy little girl.

Mission accomplished.  Clean, happy kid.

Sadly, Mike and Joyce are leaving for home today.

There won't be another long weekend until October, so we probably won't see them again till then at least.

So, today will be spent hanging out with them primarily.

Catch ya later!

1.10 pm: It's been a busy, hectic morning.

Just for now... I will share this:

ABOVE:  Mike's transition from being a scruff to a dude.

I'll be back later... the kids are leaving soon.

ABOVE:  We bought Keera some PJ's...

ABOVE:  And Steve and Bex got their boys some too.
It certainly is winter PJ time.

7.30 pm:  And finally!  Everyone has gone home.  Mike and Joyce are safely back in Palmerston North.
We had a very unexpected visitor this evening too.  I'll tell ya about that tomorrow.
For now... I've got my third load of washing on, and am about to hang some outside, in the dark.
Might as well save myself time in the morning.

After that, I will sit down and relax till bedtime.

  1. Absolutely awesome idea for a bath for Kiera.

  2. We used to do that at the beach house when the boys were little except we had a little blow up pool that fitted inside the shower. The boys loved it, especially as they could splash as much as they wanted! I'm sure Keera will now be doing that every time she stays.

  3. My middle daughter had a inflated bath tub at her college apartment for three years. It fit on the tiled floor of her bathroom and filled/drained into the shower with a hose. With the (big) dogs, I use a plastic kiddie pool and a hose on the driveway or in the garage.

  4. Ll u know now u have made that a visit must well untill those legs get too much longer she must have them tied in knots lol...points for grandma

  5. Safe travels Mike and Joyce πŸ’™

The bubble bath idea for Keera what a brill idea .

Enjoy your restful night now and like your idea of washing etc now, I often do the same , gives the next morning a head start,

Nice to see Lacys nice post too and so happy Liam is on the mend,,

    Cheers πŸ₯‚

  10. Love the picture transformation of Mike.

  11. Meera has grown so much. She's a young lady and a cute one at that. My kids and grandkids loved bathing in big bowls. We always had a couple in the yard in summer, before paddle pools.
    Cool bananas-pyjamas 😁

  12. What a great idea for a bath! Glad you had a happy weekend together, Mxx

  13. Keera looks more grown up with every day! Cute pyjamas all the kids got. Sounds like a great weekend and a belated Happy Anniversary to you and Stew. He did well with your gift 🎁

  14. Looks as though everyone had a wonderful long weekend. All the best.

  15. I've been thinking about taking out our bath tub so it will be easier when we are older. Perfect idea for if we needed one for a grandkid or dog.

  16. Keera just gets more beautiful, love the bath idea. And what Lacy said is lovely, you are so blessed to have such a happy family.

  17. I would LIVE in those PJ's. Speaking of warm fuzzies. My fake Oodie arrived today. However, it is so blasted hot I could just die. We have no AC. I don't even want to take it out of the plastic bag to look at it. I would ROAST just touching the thing!
