BUSY DAY AHEAD

 Ahhhh Monday.

The day I seem to get the most done.

Today's agenda:

Washing done.

Bedrooms tidied up.

Sunroom straightened (after kids in there).

Strip wallpaper in the front bedroom.

Ironing.

That's about all.

Now... here's a couple of photos from yesterday:

ABOVE:  Keera having her bubble 'bath'.  I saw these photos (Lacy took them) and immediately thought, wow, Mum would love to see these ones.
And my heart missed a beat.  Because of course I can't show them to her.  Just another little sad reminder of all she is missing out on.

But, life goes on... no matter what eh?

Lacy bought a small tablet recently, and she let Keera use it over the weekend.
When Dante and Archer visited on Saturday, we ended up with a few tears, because there was ONLY ONE... and sharing was 'difficult' between three kids.
So.... yesterday Stew and I decided to buy a couple more, to keep at our home for visiting kids.

ABOVE:  And there we are, three happy little kids.
They do not have access to the internet on these tablets.  They can only use them to play games like Talking Tom and other kid games.  And we shall limit their use.

Yesterday was wet and miserable, so it was just fine for them to spend an hour or so on them.
(here I am, covering my arse against all the trolls who are likely to have a go at me for letting them play on 'screens'. 😠😡😢)

Yeah, such is life as a blogger.

And now... I'm gunna start my day.  Catch ya later.

11 am:  I had a lovely visit from Bex this morning.  She had been to a $2 shop at The Base and bought three of these:

ABOVE:  Padded, zippered cases for the kid's tablets.  How cool!  And would you believe they were only $2 each!!!

It's now 11.20 am, Bex has gone home to do her housework, and I'm off to hang out another load of washing.

LETTING GO.  IT'S A NECESSARY
PROCESS IF ONE WANTS
HAPPINESS.

TIME FOR LUNCH
I found out our new stick vacuum has a BOOST button.  Thanks Bex.  What a difference that makes!
Just did the vacuuming.  It's not a chore anymore, in fact I enjoy it.

So, I've been pottering around the house all day, and got so much done.
Not the ironing or more wallpaper off the walls yet though.
I am having a break before tackling one of those jobs.

I constantly surprise myself with how I can still find stuff to move around inside the house!  Just little tweaks now and then... but I love doing it.

I think I've finally found out what I'd love to do/be when I grow up!
And Interior Designer/Decorator.  Wish I'd known that about 40 years ago.  😆😟

8.40 pm:  Dinner tonight was curried sausages and cauliflower rice.  I used the same Curried Sausages sauce as last time, but added a large teaspoon of curry to it, and it was perfect.
Stew likes his food hotter than me, so he usually adds chilli flakes to his meals.  Weird man.

I've had an excellent day, one of the best in a long time.  Lots more energy and motivation to get stuff done.
I hope tomorrow is the same.

  1. HA - I picked up on the "covering your ass". Like these trolls don't have electronics in their homes. Hmmm. What are they using to troll YOUR blog?

  2. Games on tablets are great for kids. Our boys have used them from very young for limited times, usually is the morning when they wake early! One uses Stu's iPad and the other uses my kindle... now Cole has his own computer here plus he uses a Chrome book for all school work so they really are a different generation so you don't have to make any excuses for trolls.

Great idea especially in winter and they are learning tools anyway. Freezing down here. If I didn't need painkiller I wouldn't get out of bed!

  5. It's 2021 and like it or not, "screens" are a way of life. You shouldn't have to cover your arse for trolls, who like dog-stars says are using their screen to troll you😆. The kids all look very happy.

  6. Technology is the way of the future and I believe the earliest kids get used to using it the better, age appropriate of course.

I think screens and technology are fine for kids..could lead to very well paid jobs like my son. Interior design would have been a good job for you Chris, along with your great craft skills

That's what I wanted to be too, an interior designer/decorator. I even applied to Sydney College of the Arts to do a course, in my early 20s but couldn't afford to move.
