HOMEWARD BOUND

ABOVE: Today's trip ... from Wellington to Hamilton... following the RED line this time.
It should take us about 6 hours driving time, but we will take quite a bit longer than that.

We plan on stopping in Palmerston North for lunch with my girlfriends again.
And then there is bound to be a few more stops along the way.

It's another lovely trip 'scenery' wise.  Although MAYBE it will rain today?
TIME.  WILL.  TELL.
I am hoping to see the mountains again, only from the east side this time.
And yep... its pissing down out there. Has been all night really.

Might as well show you our dinner from last night:

ABOVE:  As I said last night, basic fare, but very good.
I think I'm pretty much over take out/restaurant meals now.

I want to get home and have sausages and mashed potatoes!  With peas and gravy.  πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‹

We have been very lucky with our accommodations while away.  Every bed we slept in was comfortable.  Thank goodness.
But, there is nothing better than ya own bed... so getting home will be neat.

And now... we better get a move on.  Time to pack up, then head out of here and hopefully, not run into too much traffic.

...11.41 am. The weather cleared up by the time we arrived in Palmerston North.  We are now awaiting the arrival of the girls, then we shall be having lunch.
I spied a dress shop here in Palmy as we drove in. There was a dress on a mannequin at the front door.

Had to stop and check it out.
Might have bought it! First pricey purchase of this trip.

ABOVE: I just love these tarts!  Thanks for taking time to see us again. πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’š.
We are now leaving Palmy for home. 1.18 pm.

5.04 pm. It's a loooooong way home! Still got about 90 minutes to go.

It is now 7.15 pm and we have been home about 1/4 of an hour.
Busy unpacking, sorting out PILLOWS etc.
More on THAT... tomorrow.

For now we are just going to finish unpacking, have some dinner then relax.
I will do a BIG PHOTO POST tomorrow.

Sorry it's not tonight, but as it is bound to take me 2+ hours, it will have to wait till tomorrow.
I'm far to tired to do it tonight.

  7. HAHA. Here is how well I know you. Even though, of course, I don't know you! I saw the picture of you with your new dress and thought "Why on earth is she wearing yellow? I don't think I have ever seen her in yellow". Then, I realized that must be the store clerk! Silly Me!

Welcome back home! I enjoyed seeing all of the sights, especially since I know I will never, ever, fly that far to get to NZ. I would love to come for a visit to your country...just can't sit that long in an airplane. So an extra thank you for showing us your beautiful country. XO, Ky Girl
