POSITIVITY

POSITIVITY. That's me motto for today.

I'm gunna focus on being POSITIVE.

Seeing the Doctor this afternoon is going to be a positive.

Making sure I have a good day, keep myself busy, productive and happy.

It was WONDERFUL spending time with the girls yesterday.  Really showed me that being around people is good for the soul.

So, I need to find more ways to spend time with other people.

Time to really pull my finger out and find some more groups HERE in Hamilton to join.  Maybe not Rebus though!

AND yep, not gunna play other people's stupid games.

We are over that sort of immature shit. 🐥🐤

Yaaa, I don't have to cook tonight.  We are having left over pea and bacon soup.  It is always just as good a couple of days later.
I just have to keep Lacy away, she had two bowls full yesterday!  The tart.
Let's start the day!

I was up at 11.11 pm last night, waiting to see the Blood Moon.  It was disappointing.  The moon was so small in the sky you couldn't really see that much.  Yes, it did go red.  I tried to take a photo, but without the super expensive, whizz bang equipment, wasn't happening.

There's plenty of photos online of it.  If you want to see it that is.

It's damn cold this morning.  It's taken me ages to get out of bed and get moving.  I really don't like cold mornings that much.

MARLEY has taken to eating my socks!  I went to get dressed, only one sock.
So I go looking around... just knew she would have it.  And she did.  Little bugger.
No more leaving me socks in the bathroom.

Reminds me of our cat Wanda.  She stole our neighbour's socks all the time.  So sad she's not with us any more.  She was lovely.
Every now and then I think I'd like another cat.

Then I see all the 'Lost Cat' notices on Facebook, and see dead cats on the road... and NAH.  Not going there again.

OMG I can't sit here any longer, I'm freezing!  Need to MOVE.

ABOVE:  I caved in.  Doors closed. Heat pump on.
GETTING WARMER.  26 degrees C should do it right?

Got hot real quick.
Had to open all the doors and turn the  heat pump off.

3.42 pm: I just had my first blood test in 6 months.   And AGAIN, It damn well hurt like f#*k.
But... best thing about today?
I really, really liked the new doctor I saw today.
He's young, Irish and cute.

AND he listened to me.  And he addressed my issues.  He didn't fob me off.
He didn't rush me through, and in fact my appointment went way over time.

I am seeing him again in two weeks for a follow up appointment (this time a double appointment), so we can go over strategies to get me on the right track in all aspects of my health.

I feel like he really cared, and yep, I'm bloody happy with him.

ABOVE: I didn't go to the Chemist Warehouse for my prescription either.  And that's the first time I've been given literature on each medication I'm taking!
I think I'll probably stay with the Chemist at Rototuna from now on.

ABOVE:  If I'm very lucky, that won't bruise.  But it's damn sore, with a horrible dragging ache up me arm.
I HATE needles/blood tests so much.

Brylee is coming over for dinner, she can't resist Pea and Ham soup!  I just bought some nice fresh bread to go with it.

And dinner is done, it was rather yum.  Brylee has gone home and it's cooling down again.
Another frost tonight I reckon.
Catch ya tomorrow.

Freezing cold here too. I had to go to Wellington Hospital for 8.30 appt. Left here at 7.15 arrived 10 mins late. Lucky specialist was late too so had plenty of time. Now back at home still cold but sunny outside. Rather the dog gets your socks than your undies lol. Our dog used to swipe our undies off the bathroom floor and take them under the house to munch on. Plumber was highly amused. Kj

  5. We had a good view of the moon last night until 9 when I went to bed but photos on fb show good views continued. The moon was brilliant at 6 am when I went to work.
We had our heat pump/ ac on all day yesterday it was so cold but so far haven’t needed it today. We usually have it set at 20

  6. Set the heat pump to 22. That's a good level for temperature and economy.

  7. I had to double check I was on the right blog. A CAT?? I knew you had it in you deep down even if it only comes out for a moment!
My damn dogs stole my sheepskin ugg slipper and dragged it through the wet muddy grass after chewing the button off. Not happy. If they had destroyed it I could justify a new pair.
We had the eclipse here around 9 last night. It was pretty spectacular and right above our house in clear skies that clouded over as it ended.

I am really nervous of blood tests and always bruise. They used to have trouble finding a vein that didn't roll out of the way (their technical term, lol) but then I was told that I could ask for a thinner needle and I did a couple of times. Lately I seem to be more relaxed about the whole thing. Audrey

  13. I love the love for pea and ham soup in your family. My mum always made it when I was growing up. I hate it... ha!! My partner loves it, but has to be satisfied with occasional leftovers from my parents as I refuse to make it. Mind you, he could make it himself if he loves it that much 😂

  14. Glad to hear you had a good appointment with your new DR. Yum on the soup. Usually make a pot a week during the cold months but let that slip this year. Take care and keep warm.
